Pregnancy Risk (Definition)

Many women have no problems with pregnancy other than the normal discomforts. Others, however, experience more serious complications that need immediate attention. You may hear your situation referred to as "high risk," and that simply means that if you had certain medical conditions before you were pregnant or had a complication during your pregnancy, you and your baby will be monitored more closely. It is extremely important that you stay in close contact with your doctor and call immediately if you experience any warning signs. How often is it safe to get chemical peels? How many times a month is it safe to get a chemical peel without harming the skin?

.

Depends!: The safely depends on your skin type and type of peel. Most aesthetic peels are mild fruit acid peels that are repeated every 30-45 days, which is how long it takes to regrow a new layer of dead skin cells. You will not accomplish much with more frequent peels. Deeper peels are repeated less often. Find a physician skilled in skin care for specific recommendations! ...Read more

Ive been getting chemical peels for acne scars. I got 2 light enzym peels and 1 extra strength enzyme peel. After how many peels will the scars heal?

Scars aren't removed: by peels. You can do them until the cows come home, and not see much difference other than exfoliation. So that's an expensive alternative that has been marketed to you. Cosmetic lasers that rebuild collagen provide longer lasting results, as scarring is occurring from the damaged collagen fibers that have created crater-like effects from contraction. Treat the cause, not the hype. ...Read more

There : There are a few options when it comes to skin resurfacing for acne scar and pigmentation issues. Chemical peels and lasers are two options. Another option that works well for treating just portions of the face is dermabrasion. This produces more of a physical sanding of the skin. The idea with all 3 procedures is to remove the outer layer of skin cells. New skin then regrows into the area to create a smoother, more even pigmentation. ...Read more

Chemical peels,: Laser resurfacing, and dermabrasion are all methods of removing a portion of the skin surface that stimulates healing, and development of collagen and elastic fibers (along with a new skin surface) that reduces (but does not remove) scars. If your skin is sensitive, the treatments designed to reduce acne scarring will need to be less severe (and will be less effective). Laser may be most precise. ...Read more

Not always: Skin resurfacing is performed by a variety of techniques - chemical peels are only one option. Other options include dermabrasion and laser resurfacing (done with a variety of lasers depending upon degree of scarring ). The best option for you would depend upon the how deep your acne scars are and how extensive your "sun spots" are. ...Read more

Last month my wife took anti pregnancy peel which effect dis month cycle only few drops...Is it requires doc attention.?

Are chemical peels really effective in treating scars?

Are chemical peels really effective in treating scars?

In deep acne scars it is little help, as the chemicals follow the surface contours rather than plane them done like sanding (mechanical dermabrasion). Usually minor surface tightening can occur, which does mildly help the appearance of acne scars. ...Read more
