Probably not: I have no clue how old you are (periodontal disease?), which tooth is involved, if it is actually food impaction, or really a dental abscess from a non-vital tooth. Your best bet is to have a local dentist evaluate you. ...Read more

Sounds Like: Pericoronitis (infected tissue around a wisdom tooth) which is generally painful. I would see your dentist to be sure it is not another tooth or swelling from some other cause as we cannot see you. See your dentist. ...Read more
