Warm compresses: A large painful nodular acne lesion should not be squeezed/popped. It is already ruptured under the surface of your skin. You have an infection setting in and you need to let your body deal with it. Squeezing it might spread the infection or make it worse. I have a spot on the inside of my cheek. It's smooth , red and painless but it started off rough and had no change in color from the rest of my cheek.
Diagnosed with virus by GP, after two weeks rest feel worse and seem to have developed rash on one cheek.
Back to the GP: You should begin to feel better after 2 weeks. Sometimes viruses (after destroying the normal mucosal barriers that protect us from infection) leave us more susceptible to a secondary infection.
