Stretch/arch support: Depending on brands, styles cleats are often not as supportive in the arch area as a good running shoe. I would suggest placing a rigid arch support or custom orthotic in the soccer shoe, but first remove the insole so you will have more room. Dehydration?: When there is a simultaneous bilateral problem, think what could be happening that would affect my whole system via my blood stream? Dehydration can cause bilateral calf spasticity, especially if you're low on electrolytes. Also, the onset of a virus is systemic and could cause this. Oa of right knee. Aches while walking and turning right leg in sleep. Carrying out preliminary leg exercises.
Exercise: The exercise is good but you may want to try non weight bearing exercises like swimming or pool areobics. A knee wrap or analgesic balm can be helpful at night. Otc meds like aleve (naproxen) are also helpful but take with food.
