Chantix And Ambien
Same doctor gave it?: You better make sure the same doctor who gave you desipramine and Celexa knows you are planning to take Ambien (zolpidem) too. If more than one doctor gave you these medications, then you are going to get in trouble because all these medications work on the brain and interact. I highly recommend you pick one doctor and make sure he/she recommends you take all three before you proceed. ...Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers

Reboxetine : And wellbutrin (bupropion). I cannot find any data regarding drug interactions between the two. Reboxetine is listed as norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor with minimal effect on serotonin reuptake. It is metabolized via the 3a4 enzyme system except at high doses where it begins to effect the 2d6 enzyme system. Theoretically it should be okay to take them together, but i would ask the pharmacist and doc first. Best wishes. ...Read more
Not recommended: Seroquel (quetiapine) is an anti-psychotic medication used for serious psychiatric disorders. It is not recommended as a sleeping aid. Talk to your pcp about what may be causing your insomnia and to find alternative meds if necessary. See: https://sleepfoundation.org/insomnia/content/what-causes-insomnia I hope this helps. My dr has me on low dose methotrexate, tramadol, Wellbutrin xr, buspar, (buspirone) Xanax and ambien. Are all these drugs safe together?
Comments: I would not be surprised to encounter drug-drug interactions here, which could enhance adverse effects, and even compromise intended efficacy. Not having a clue as to why you take any of these, I cannot advise further, but think you would do well to have an extensive discussion with your doctor about all of this. ...Read more
not really: Valium (diazepam) is a benzodiazepine tranquilizer. Although it helps with sleep, it is mainly for anxiety and muscle relaxation, and can be taken during the day if prescribed that way. Ambien (zolpidem) is chemically different, only used for sleep, never during the day, and is not a tranquilizer (anxiety reducer). Valium is also habit-forming, Ambien less so (but can be too). ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Trying to decide which medication to taper off of first- Lamictal, Trazadone, or Klonopin (clonazepam). Have trouble sleeping even with Klonopin (clonazepam) and Lamictal.
Why?: It is not clear why you would wish to do this. It sounds like your problems are insufficiently treated, with a continuing disruption in sleep. Perhaps the doses are too low; perhaps their timing needs to be changed; perhaps the medicines need to be replaced. Consult your psychiatrist. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Benn prescribed resperidone and ativan for psycosis and topamax (topiramate) for alcohol craving, is this combination bad?
Except ativan (lorazepam): Risperidone is a very effective medicine for psychosis . Topmax is found to be a very promising drug for the treatment of alcohol addiction . Ativan (lorazepam) can be used only for prevention if alcohol withdrawal not for treatment purpose . We tend to avoid any benzodiazepines in people with alcohol abuse history because the combination is dangerous ...Read more
Good medicines that work for insomnia. I've tried ambien, (zolpidem)ambien CR, restoril, metrazapine, silenor, trazadone, also OTC meds and nothing seems to work?
Ambien (zolpidem): Zolpidem (Ambien (zolpidem)) is indicated for short-term treatment of insomnia with difficulty of sleep onset. Ambien (zolpidem) produces tolerance and dependence when used long-term. Although trazodone is efficacious for sleep maintenance difficulties, its use in insomnia is off-label and is associated with cognitive and motor impairments. Long-term treatment with medication alone is not the optimal treatment strategy ...Read more
Campral/Cymbalta: Yes, as prescribed.Get a more detailed answer ›
Dr prescribed 50mg zoloft (sertraline) for depression, 80 mg propranolol for panic and .5 clonazepam for sleep from insomnia. Not sleeping. What otc sleep aid safe
Probably: Cymbalta (duloxetine) for depression is fine. I find no indication for the use of Naltrexone in depression. If you are referring to just having to use the two at the same time, i find no contraindication for using the two together, ie, no drug to drug interaction. Both drugs are for serious illness and make shure you thoroughly discuss this with your pcp, addiction md, other provider or pharmacist/pharmd. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
