Short answer, No: No, pencil thin stools are not caused by H pylori bacteria. You need a colonoscopy or appt. Pencil thin stools could be a sign of colon cancer or colitis (an inflammation or infection of your colon). Call and see your PCP and have them schedule you for a colonoscopy or GI consult.
