My tubes were cut and tied after my C-section 7 years ago, what are my chances of getting Pregnant with out surgery? What are the steps to do?

Almost none: The purpose of a tubal ligation is permanent sterilization. Your ability to get pregnant is less than 1%, and if you have not become pregnant after 7 years it is approaching zero. There is nothing you can do short of surgical reversal. If you want to do that you need to see a GYN. ...Read more

I am 39 years old and want to get my tubes untied , what are my chances of getting pregnant again?

Ok: Success of a tubal reversal depends on three things: age of the patient and at 39 you are still ok, skill of the surgeon and length of tubal segments remaining. In my experience, the "bands" are the easiest to reverse and give you the best success rates. Ivf is also an option but generally is more expensive. It is a choice. Good luck. ...Read more

I : I am assuming you had a reversal procedure. Please reply if otherwise. To help pin point ovulation thus having a better chance of conceiving buy an ovulation prediction kit and follow the detailed instructions. As far as lowering the risk of miscarriage, this is nearly impossible. Most pregnancies that end in miscarriage are a result of the fetus having a chromosomal defect that is incompatible with life. There are other causes of miscarriage (clotting disoders etc.) but these are not usually considered until a woman has 3 miscarriages. Please see your doctor; after obtaining a detailed history from you and your partner he/she will be able to give more applicable advice. I wish you the best of luck. ...Read more

Surgery or Ivf : There are 2 options, a tubal reanastomosis surgery or ivf. Both procedures have comparable pregnancy rates and costs. Ivf is less invasive and is an option even if this tubes are not fixable. When we review the risks and benefits, most couples chose ivf if they proceed. ...Read more

How if I get the surgery done to unblock my tubes what are my chances are for me getting pregnant after?

Depends on why: the tubes are blocked. If your tubes are not damaged but simply 'clogged' (yes this happens) your chances may be excellent after surgery. If your tubes are blocked due to fibrosis and inflammation (PID for example) outcome may be much less good. ...Read more

What are my chances of getting pregnant after tubes tied in 2003 and miscarriage in 2007?

Not unless....: Unless your tubal liagtion failed (roughly 1 in 100 do) your chance of natural conception is zero. Are you certain you had a miscarriage in 2007, because that suggests at least one tube is working. A reproductive endocrinologist can help you learn more about your options. ...Read more

1 to 2%: Tubal ligation was standard method of sterilization 10 years ago. But times have changed...
