Chance To Get Herpes Hpv
If semen infected with HPV and Herpes contacted my eye, what are the chances that I will get HPV-related cancer on my eye and will I get eye warts?
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection. There are over 100 different types of HPV that causes warts in different areas of the body. HPV is incredibly common and almost all sexually active men and women get it during their lifetime. Most of the time HPV does not cause any symptoms or complications. However, A limited number of these HPV viruses are pathogenic and if not monitored carefully can be responsible for causing cervical and penile cancer. Some of these viruses have been ...Read more
I gave oral sex to a woman and I am worried about contracting herpes, hpv, warts or somthin. I heard to get something oral is rare is this true?
Mostly true: Oral sex can be considered safe sex. It's not completely free of STD risk, but low risk for all STDs and zero for some. Altogether a lot safer than unprotected vaginal or anal sex. Risk is especially low for cunnilingus (oral-vaginal). Oral warts and herpes in particular are rare from oral sex. No need for testing if no symptoms (sores of lips or tongue, sore throat) in next 1-2 weeks. ...Read more
How is it that immune system can get rid of HPV in body and can't for Herpes? Isn't HPV more harmful and complex than Herpes? What's the difference?
Good question: The body's defense systems combats infection to eradicate from the human body, a complex interaction between the host (the body) and the invading orgsnism usually is the case, in case of Herpes, the virus remains dormant, undetected by the immne system radar in some cells and some nerve roots, once body resistance wanes for a reason or another it flares up until the body fights it back ...Read more
Why 3 shots of Cervarix for HPV? Will this last forever and I don't need to get the shots again? And is there a vaccine for Herpes?? I have HPV 16
Immune stimulation: Research has shown dependable long term immunity with the three dose series while one or two would not consistently provide that benefit. Such is true with some vaccines, which push your immune system to work, but do not have the same stimulant effect as the actual disease. The infection would be a continuous trigger. No herpes vaccine is currently available. ...Read more
I had a sore that came and went I don't have herpes or HPV I was suppose to get a biopsy but she said no cause the sore was gone I keep having burning?
A burning desire..: You have a 'burning desire' to find out why? Without a sore present, we may never know without a biopsy, but your md can prescribe a cream to alleviate the burning in that area so give her a call. ...Read more
Had intimate Hollywood wax in a salon that double dips. Can I get herpes/HPV/ other STI from this? Virus from prev client survive in wax?
Uncertain, but...: I am afraid there have been no exact studies to address the connected concerns in your scenario. But contracting infective agents may take place as long as the external natural barrier like skin or mucosa is broken by sex-related acts. And the related symptoms may develop if internal humoral immunity is not strong enough to fend off the invading infective agents. Nonetheless, seek evaluation... ...Read more
How do you get tested for herpes? I've had several pelvic exams, blood drawn, urine analysis. What else can be done? Idk if its warts I had hpv
History and physical: Urinalysis is worthless as a diagnostic tool, the herpes 2 bloodwork is infamous unreliable, and examination between outbreaks is not helpful. You might have the opportunity to have the suspect lesions seen during a flare -- herpes comes and goes, warts are more likely to remain constant, and there are other lesions that can do either. Good luck and stay proactive. ...Read more
Why does HPV causes cancer where herpes for example doesn't? What makes it more dangerous when both are STDs & viruses? Will I get rid of HPV16 ever??
Your HPV will clear: HPV and herpes are different viruses. Not every virus causes the same health problems as others. Neither herpes nor HPV is very dangerous, and it isn't sexual transmission that makes anything dangerous. Most HPV infections (type 16 and others) are cleared by the immune system over 1-2 years and do not cause cancer. People tend to get freaked because of association with sex, but there's no need. ...Read more
Can a person get HPV or herpes in the throat. I'm not sick but my throat hurts sometimes and I feel like I've held my breath. I have HPV and hsv1.
Yes. Dr. can check.: New throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat). A couple days of throat lozenges and tylenol (acetaminophen) can decrease throat pain. ...Read more

HMMM: Depends on your perspective. Herpes is usually more painful when you get an outbreak, but HPV can cause cancer and or genital warts that can be so extensive that you have to undergo extensive laser surgery that can leave you permanently scarred. Cancer of course can result in needing painful surgeries, biopsies, and death. So they both are pretty bad. HPV at least has a vaccine available. ...Read more
All different: Shaving bumps (folliculitis): Shaved areas only (obviosly), red bumps, some pimple-like, often a hair visible in the center. Warts are painless, non itchy bumps, often firm or quite hard. Herpes: initial red bump becoming blister then open sore over a few days, then healing with scabs. Initial herpes and warts usually on genitals per se, e.g. labia minor, vaginal opening. But see MD if uncertain. ...Read more
No: Hpv is human papilloma virus (there are many different strains). Some strains of hpv cause genital warts or cervical cancer. Herpes simplex type 1 and type 2 viruses cause herpes infections, which usually are sores, such as sores on the genitals or sores on the lips. Herpes sores are painful clusters of tiny blisters, and they heal up only to return some time later. ...Read more
I live in the same household as someone who has herpes and hpv. Can I contract these without being sexual?
Is the vangina supposed to be bumpy on the inside?? It's been bugging me I do have hpv anal but these don't look like herpes what could it be??
I'm not sure if I have hpv or herpes. The bumps don't look like either, and I've been tested for herpes before. Also never got gardasil.?
Herpes vs. HPV: Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) and Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) are viral infections that cause skin lesions. Herpes can appear on the mouth as cold sores (HSV1) or around genitals (HSV2). HPV can occur anywhere on the body. Herpes can cause ulcerated, black-ish lesions while HPV causes smooth round warts (see images). HPV does have a vaccine that (Gardasil) protects against some (not all) HPV strains. ...Read more

How effective is acyclovir at treating hpv? Dr. Prescribed this to me. I know its usually for herpes.
HPV/herpes: Both HPV and herpes types I and II are viruses. It is common to acquire both during sexual activity, and both are very easily spread by this route. There are antivirals which when used when symptoms first appear can control the appearance of genital or oral ulcers (herpes), but with HPV other treatment modes are used by physicians when necessary. ...Read more
