Chances of missed miscarriage after hearing heartbeat at 8w3days? Heartbeat was 173bpm..

Chances of missed miscarriage after hearing heartbeat at 8w3days? Heartbeat was 173bpm..

If the fetus: Was visualized sonographically with cardiac activity at 173bpm, there is no miscarriage. It won't increase or decrease the chance of subsequent miscarriage, however.

Ultrasound yesterday morning and saw my 9 week olds heartbeat. My doc said everything perfect. Later that nighhad a miscarriage. How can she miss that?

Unfortunately: Spontaneous miscarriages are just that, and all tests and imaging studies may appear normal before the miscarriage. Your doc probably didn't miss anything on the ultrasound, it is more likely that whatever was abnormal was not detectable. Sorry for your loss and take care.

How common is a missed miscarriage in the first trimester? I am 8 weeks but have not seen my doc yet, so no confirmed heartbeat.

How common is a missed miscarriage in the first trimester? I am 8 weeks but have not seen my doc yet, so no confirmed heartbeat.

Common: Only about 80% of pregnancies advance to the second trimester and beyond. A first trimester loss is common; however, an ultrasound will confirm how far along into the pregnancy you really are.

Is it normal to keep spotting and cramping up till 4 days after an mva is done for a missed miscarriage (heartbeat stopped) @6weeks?

Is it normal to keep spotting and cramping up till 4 days after an mva is done for a missed miscarriage (heartbeat stopped) @6weeks?

Sorry to hear about: Your miscarriage. Cramping and spotting is normal, but excessive or worsening pain or heavy bleeding is not. Generally these milder symptoms go away with 10-14 days. If they continue or worsen call your gyn.

When is a miscarriage diagnosed if no fetal heartbeat is seen? I went 8wks after missed period and no HB was detected, can this be normal?

When is a miscarriage diagnosed if no fetal heartbeat is seen? I went 8wks after missed period and no HB was detected, can this be normal?

Possible: If you ovulated late it is possible. If you can measure a crown rump lenght and still can't see a heart beat it is very likely that this is a blighted ovum or missed abortion (the name for all pregnancy early loss not just induced ones).Good luck

Lmp 5/1, positive hpt 3/2, bhcg 2063 7/2. Dating scan yesterday revealed yolk sac only, no heartbeat dated at 6 weeks only? Missed miscarriage?

Another BHCG: The best way to know what is going on with the pregnancy it to have another bhcg level drawn. The number should double every 48 hours. If it is staying the same or declining the pregnancy is probably not going to continue. If it is on the rise then perhaps the ultrsound was just too early to detect the gestational sac and heartbeat.

Missed miscarriage at week 8, baby lost heart beat. Induced miscarriage with cytote 3 weeks ago, now hcg level 300 (was 337 two days ago), need D&C?

Probably...: Cytotec (misoprostol) will usually cause you to pass the tissue left in your uterus. If it doesn't, a D&C is frequently performed. Its also a good idea to continue repeating the HCG level after the D&C until it is zero. This will ensure that there is no other problems related to the miscarriage such as gestational trophoblastic disease. Best Wishes!

What are the chances of miscarriage after seeing a heartbeat of 131 at 6 weeks 5 days when the embryo isn't growing properly only at 6 weeks 2 days?

What are the chances of miscarriage after seeing a heartbeat of 131 at 6 weeks 5 days when the embryo isn't growing properly only at 6 weeks 2 days?

Low: Actually a fetal pole measuring 6 weeks 2 days when you are 6 weeks 5 days pregnant is fine. Babies come in all sizes -plus or minus 5 days measurement (ahead or behind) is fine. Also not everyone has 28 day cycles and if you did not ovulate on day 14 of your cycle, dates may be measuring a little off. Were you told this was abnormal, because I do not think it is, unless I missing facts.

Friend just had missed misscariage (stopped heartbeat) at 7 weeks for the second time. What is a list of all potential causes?

Friend just had missed misscariage (stopped heartbeat) at 7 weeks for the second time. What is a list of all potential causes?

Too many to list: Have your friend use HealthTap prime or talk to a maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) doctor for clarification. Among possibilities leading to a miscarriage are infections (in baby or mother), chromosomal abnormalities, lack of adequate nutritition (of mother), drugs and alcohol, abnormalities of the uterus, trauma to abdomen / pelvis, placenta problems. Cause can't be figured out w/o biopsy and autopsy

If babys heartbeat is normal at 9 weeks are the chances of miscarriage decreased?

If babys heartbeat is normal at 9 weeks are the chances of miscarriage decreased?

Pregnancy: The presence of a normal heart rate at 9 weeks reduces the risk of miscarriage. Most studies show that the presence of a normal fetal heart rate decreases the risk of micarriage to 3 to 5% (as compared to 15-20% before seeing a fetal heart rate.) there are a number of factors that can impact the risk of miscarriage, and good prenatal care is critical to improve the chances of success.

Scared to have a miscarriage. Scared I'm going to go to the dr a d find no heartbeat. What are the chances? I'm 7w 3d and had a mc in sept.

U need to go: At 7 wks should be able to see a htbeat, u need to know everything is ok or not, after only 1 prev miscarriage your chances of a 2nd one are no greater than anyone else, if u have a 2nd one - hopefully not then your chances for a 3rd go up more.

My dr did see an amniotic sack with no heartbeat yet she wants to check again on mon but with my levels being low does this mean miscarriage?

My dr did see an amniotic sack with no heartbeat yet she wants to check again on mon but with my levels being low does this mean miscarriage?

Not Necessarily: She will be looking both for changes in the ultrasound and in increases in the betaHCG. You don't know anything at this point. I know it is hard to wait, but until you know what the numbers show and what the ultrasound shows you just don't know what is going to happen. I wish you nothing but good thoughts and increasing levels

At 9.5 weeks with twins, heartbeats were 167 and babies are 2.7cm & 3cm. At this point, what are the chances of miscarrying one or both twins?

At 9.5 weeks with twins, heartbeats were 167 and babies are 2.7cm & 3cm. At this point, what are the chances of miscarrying one or both twins?

Chances are lower: Obviously twins are a higher risk for complications than a single gestation but with 2 very healthy heartbeats you certainly can breathe somewhat easier. Your OB will go over with you risks of twins at the various gestational ages but I would try to relax at this point.

Probably miscarrying at 7 weeks (bleeding and dr didn't see heartbeat). What's the best way to get it out if I want to try again to conceive asap?

Probably miscarrying at 7 weeks (bleeding and dr didn't see heartbeat). What's the best way to get it out if I want to try again to conceive asap?

Miscarrage: You should let your body continue to get rid of the pregnancy. If it does not the your ob can give you medication. Most times you should wait 3months prior to retrying for pregnancy

I had 2mc before. This time saw a strong heartbeat and baby moves at 6w5d, 8w4d, 11w4d and 12w4d. What is the chance of miscarriage?

Low: Most miscarriages happen in the first trimester (before 14 weeks). At 13 weeks, the risk is still quite low, about 2.5%. So you have better than 97.5% chance of a pregnancy without a miscarriage! Best wishes!

What is my chance for miscarriage after the heartbeat is seen at 6 weeks. Everything else measured fine as well. So worried, 1st baby!?

What is my chance for miscarriage after the heartbeat is seen at 6 weeks. Everything else measured fine as well. So worried, 1st baby!?

Depends on symptoms: In general if you are not bleeding or having significant cramps its very likely you are going to have a normal pregnancy. However, there are no guarantees. Having said that, I would relax and enjoy being pregnant. Take your prenatal vitamins and start regular OB care.

11wks5days heartbeat 163. Does the chances of a miscarriage go down significantly? I worry been spotting since 8wks. But baby looks healthy! Still wor

Relax: Every day your chance of miscarriage decreases. Te heart beat seems goos but where is the placenta. A frequent cause for bleeding is a low lying placenta or a placenta previa and it may be moving up. Ask your OB Good luck
