I have a pulling pain between the thumb knuckle and the wrist when opening safety gates, jars etc working hand movements ?

Inflammation: It sounds like inflammation of the tendon...did you injure it in some way? Have it seen by your doctor if it persists. In the meantime there are some simple things that may help. Homeopathic Arnica, Rhus tox and Bryonia (all three at same time) can help with the pain. Stopping gluten can also help...over time..that is not a quick fix. I have great success with Traditional Chinese medicine as well ...Read more

Hand washing vs hand sanitizer? Which is better when done performing blood draws! would hand sanitizer prevent me from getting infected?

Hand washing vs hand sanitizer? Which is better when done performing blood draws! would hand sanitizer prevent me from getting infected?

Don't re-cap needles, because you really can get stuck. If you should have a needle stick injury where you are in contact with a patient's blood, call your supervisor, the nursing supervisor, or the employee health department. ...Read more

Any experience with natural cesarean. Cord is cut and then baby placed on moms chest keeping sterile field intact.

Routine nowadays.: This is the most mother-friendly process to be used during cesarean delivery. Immediate skin to skin contact with the newborn stimulates maternal oxytocin release and helps with decreasing blood loss. Median nerve cut not healing correctly? Stitches. Relatively superficial cut, improved at first, 3.5 months later can't feel middle finger. Doc visit?

Yes: Where was the cut? Median nerve is deep. Superficial cut would not involve unless cut was on finger itself (wherein nerve would be a digital branch of median nerve, not the median nerve itself). In any event, need evaluation since nerves are important. Check carefully if both sides of the finger are involved on only one side. Report to your doctor.
