Cetirizine Pseudoephedrine Side Effects
I have been taking cetirizine and pseudoephedrine recently im having trouble sleeping, will this be why?
I have had post nasal drip for the past few months. I am taking Zyrtec. And Flonase. I cannot take pseudoephedrine it makes heart race. What can I do?
Is it safe to take Advil cold & sinus (ibuprofen + pseudoephedrine) if you are using Flonase spray? Can zyrtec or allegra (fexofenadine) also be taken @ same time?
Is it safe to take claritin-d every day? Are there long term side effects and what does pseudoephedrine interact with, if anything?
Allergies: In general, it it safe to take antihistamines everyday for allergies. Claritin-d includes the decongestant as you mentioned, and i tend to avoid that for people on a long term basis. It increases vasoconstriction and this has a variety of effects including more work for the heart and elevated blood pressure. There are other medications that can help with congestion. Severe allergies. OTC don't work anymore except pseudoephedrine and benedryl (side effects). Recommend OTC. DO NOT SAY SEE A DOCTOR - can't afford?
I find that if I take pseudoephedrine once a day before bedtime, I sleep better and wake up feeling more rested. I have no side effects I am aware of. Is this safe to do long term. I do not have any health problems and normal blood pressure. I am 56.
Cold or allergies? Stuffy nose, on and off itchy eyes, nose. After three days, now itchy throat. No fever. Did take sudafed, mild help, now zyrtec (cetirizine) but itchy throat may be the side effect.

Sleepiness: The major side-effect of zyrtec (cetirizine) is sedation - sleepiness, fatigue, and slowed reaction time. This occurs in 1 out of 10 or 1 out of 12 users. Compare to Benadryl (diphenhydramine) 1 of 3 users or clariting 1 in 50 users. Also occasionally reported are stomachache, headache, diarrhea, constipation & dry mouth & throat. How long can a 3 year old use zyrtec (cetirizine) for? Is it safe to use it for few months or longer? Any side effects to look out for?
Gave my 5 yr old Zyrtec (cetirizine) last night 1 tsp at 7 and forgot gave to him this morning @ 9:30 1tsp. What side effects should i look fo since a extra dose?
