Why is my cervix high soft and closed 4-5 days b4 af thought its suppose to drop but mine neva did y?
This is normal : The timing of cervical change in every pregnancy is different. Then normal gestation is 40 weeks but 37-42 weeks is the normal range. Your cervix will change on its own schedule. If it doesn't change by 41 weeks your doctor may discuss cervical ripening before inducing you. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Repeat preg test: If you are late for your period and the first pregnancy test is negative you can repeat the test 5 days later. As long as your period didn't come. I'm 24. All test I have taken were negative. I am 2 days late for my period but my cervix high soft and open. Why is this?
May be too early: to test. It takes about 2 weeks after pregnancy for the test to be positive. You may take a blood test for HCG, it would be positive if you are pregnant. Or, you may do a hpt and if it is negative, repeat it in a week. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions carefully. ...Read more

On birth cntrol, had symptoms of ovulation midcycle, such as breast tenderness & cervix high & soft, took pregnant test came back neg. Do u ovulate on bc?
Yes: Yes, you can still ovulate, but the birth control pill will still be effective at preventing pregnancy. If you would like to have better suppression of the ovaries, consider changing from a 20mcg estrogen pill to a 30-35mcg estrogen pill or a pill that has fewer placebo tablets at the end. Days Past Ovulation: Having a cervix that is high, soft, and closed is normal for someone who is 10 days past ovulation. We only want cervixes to be low, effaced, and dilated during labor. If you are trying to get pregnant, make sure that the Folic Acid you are taking is l-methylfolate. Most people cannot use regular Folic Acid anymore, and that is what helps prevent neural tube defects. Look up neevodha prenatals. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

If my cervix is high soft and open but I have a white sticky discharge what does that mean.. Is it part of ovulation?
My cervix is high, soft, but definitely closed. I'm due to start in 3 days but worried I may be pregnant due to other symptoms. Can I still start?
Not sure.: I'm not sure what your question is, as it depends on where you are in your cycle. If you are late on your period and concerned about pregnancy, check a test. If you are on BCPs, this may be breakthrough bleeding, which is not a problem. If you are mid cycle and not on BCPs, it may be nothing but could also suggest a mild infection. You might just watch it or if symptoms get worse, see your GYN ...Read more

Period a day late, cervix high and soft, thought it was period and was lots of discharge. Positive opk's a week ago, but negative hp what's going on?
One day is not late : Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. Being one day late is not really late. ...Read more
Cannot tell!: The first day of your period is day#1. Most women are most fertile around day#14. Most pregnancy tests do not turn positive until about day#28 (assuming regular cycles). At three weeks after your period, even if you had conceived, it would be near impossible to tell if you were pregnant. The cervix, on exam, is a poor indicator of early pregnancy. I hope this helps! ...Read more
