Not likely: It sounds like they injected some Lidocaine with Epinephrine in your cervix today for a biopsy/colposcopy? Those medications they infected have a super short 1/2 life, meaning they don't stay in your system for very long at all. Definitely all gone by the time you wrote this question. Location: Facet injections place anti-inflammatory steroid into the joint(s) in the spine and the epidural steroid injection places steroid around the spinal cord, nerves and discs. Joint injection is very localized and usually requires more than one. ESI can have greater spread. Since the epidural space is just outside of the spinal cord, this is more risky.
