Likely infection: Vaginitis or cervicitis (inflammation on the vaginal canal wall or inflammation on the cervix) would give the same exact symptomsi. Ie. - vaginal discharge, redness, itchiness/ inflammation etc. Thiis's likely caused by infection (bacteria, yeast), chemical irritant (douche, soap) etc. See you gynecologist for examination. Unlikely: For females that have had normal pap smears and one as recent as one year, it is very unlikely to have cervical cancer. However, it is normal to have discharge postpartum. You are correct,: These are concerning symptoms. But they very well may not mean cervical cancer. Especially if you have had a normal Pap or HPV test within the past year or two.
