Light pink discharge, could I have cervical cancer?

Light pink discharge, could I have cervical cancer?

See your GYN: If you've never had a pap smear you should have one. It is unlikely to be cancer but you should definitely get checked out. Pap smears save lives.

Hi I missed a pill weekago and Wednesday had some brown discharge and im worried its cervical cancer etc?

Withdrawal bleed: The brown discharge is from your "missed pill" known as withdrawal bleeding. If you have not had a Pap smear in the last three years, go to the MD and obtain one to rule out your cervical cancer concerns.

What kind of vaginal discharge does cervical cancer cause?

What kind of vaginal discharge does cervical cancer cause?

Not an early sign: Sadly, by the time there is a discharge, cervical cancer may be somewhat advanced. That's why pap tests are recommended. But the discharges associated are: constant discharge that does not stop, and it may be pale, watery, pink, brown, bloody, or foul-smelling. See a doctor or obgyn for testing as soon as possible. Good luck!

Are white discharge with vaginal inflammation some symptoms of cervical cancer?

Likely infection: Vaginitis or cervicitis (inflammation on the vaginal canal wall or inflammation on the cervix) would give the same exact symptomsi. Ie. - vaginal discharge, redness, itchiness/ inflammation etc. Thiis's likely caused by infection (bacteria, yeast), chemical irritant (douche, soap) etc. See you gynecologist for examination. Don't forget to do a pap smear to screen for cervical cancer- as recommended.

I had a smear test 4 days ago and I have been having some bleeding and bloody discharge. Is this normal? I was treated for cervical cancer 3 years ago

Can be normal: It is not unusual to have some bleeding after a Pap smear. If you have pelvic pain or worsening discharge then follow back up with your doctor.

Is it possible that with bloody discharge could indicate that I have cervical cancer?

Evaluation needed: While it is true that patients with cervical cancer may present with bloody discharge, the vast majority of patients with bloody discharge do not have cervical cancer. You should see your physician.

All my pap smears normal. Last one 8 months ago - normal. Pink discharge 9 weeks postpart. Could it be cervical cancer? Waiting for pap results

All my pap smears normal. Last one 8 months ago - normal. Pink discharge 9 weeks postpart. Could it be cervical cancer? Waiting for pap results

Unlikely: For females that have had normal pap smears and one as recent as one year, it is very unlikely to have cervical cancer. However, it is normal to have discharge postpartum. Additional info in terms of other symptoms may lead to a different diagnosis if it is concerning for a condition other than normal postpartum discharge. Additional consultation on HealthTap concierge or w/ doc could help.

Every month probably about 7-10 days before my period, I get brown bloody discharge that lasts for about 5 days. As I'm a teen, is it cervical cancer?

Every month probably about 7-10 days before my period, I get brown bloody discharge that lasts for about 5 days. As I'm a teen, is it cervical cancer?

Unlikely: It is extremely unlikely that you have cervical cancer given your age. It's possible this is related to an infection, especially if its foul smelling. Also may just be small amount of bleeding that you are having between periods that is very light and this blood often appears brown. This occurs when the lining of your uterus is thicker than normal.

Cervical Cancer...: Is caused by types of hpv, human papilloma virus, a viral infection that can be contracted through sex. It is very doubtful that you have cervical cancer! but, you should have annual pap smear and pelvic exam.

Probably not HPV: Neither squamous metaplasia nor cervical cancer is a likely cause of this kind of discharge. See your doctor for evaluation for the cause.

Could be many things: The symptoms you describe are not specific for any entity, but certainly warrant a visit to either your primary care provider or ob-gyn. It also would be prudent to have regular pap smears.
