Ask ur doc: Vitamin d deficiency is quite common due to inadequate sun exposure. Although we give steroids with docetaxil but the doses and frequency is not enough to cause metabolic bone disease. Vitamind d deficiency can be corrected by supplement with high doses for few weeks to restore normal levels followed by maintenance doses to keep it at normal level.
