Clarifying allergy ALL NSAIDs, need safe topical. Some natural ings act as NSAIDs. Is Topricin safe? Ingredients on topricin.com, tab in prod desc.
Depends: Since you did not mention nasal or sinus polyps, I presume that you do not have Aspirin exacerbated respiratory disease in which patients would react to all NSAIDs except Celebrex (celecoxib). There has been no study on whether topical NSAIDs would trigger systemic symptoms and thus the answer is unknown. It appears to me that you need a good neurologic and orthopedic evaluation. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Bought some Mucinex dm today for cough and chest congestion. I also take 20mg of Lexapro (escitalopram). Drugs dot com says major interactions. Uhhhh? Can I take?
Ask pharmacist or Dr: This is very troubling indeed. And everything I've read supports what you found. Don't risk a potentially life-threatening interaction but do try to find an alternative to Lexapro (escitalopram) w/ your doctor. It's not the guaifenesin part, so you could take Mucinex pills and gargle w/ salt water for throat pain and drink honey-lemon-tea-(bit of bourbon). Sorry, but you actually may find this to work better! ...Read more

I'm currently on amiloride hydrochloride, hydrochlorothiazide..and have taken Walgreen's Cough DM. What types of adverse reactions should I expect?
Here are some...: Theoretically, taking dextromethophen-containing cough syrup should not affect the two kinds of water pills you are on. DM itself may induce drowsiness in some, but directly related with these two water pills. Nonetheless, read the precaution labeling and follow. If any doubt during drug use, stop it. More? Confused by prescription terms qid, qd, qhs, etc. Are there official guidelines for pharmacists for writing instructions on the labels on bottles? Any website?
Not for patients: Any good pharmacy would never write the abbreviated doctor shorthand on the bottle of medication you get. If you are unsure of anything, have them relabel the bottle in words that you can understand. If you are asking before the prescription is filled and you want to know, consult a pharmacy or medical shorthand manual on latin prescription abbreviations. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
