My 15 month is taking cefprozil 1 teaspoon by mouth 2 times a day his weight is 24.4 lbs.. is this the right dosage?
Just about: If he is taking the 125mg/5ml dose of the medication (should be on the bottle) then this dosage is very close. Technically it looks like it should be 6.6mL every 12 hours but 5ml is 1 teaspoon which is fairly close. It depends: Are you allergic to cepfrozil? If you are, it depends on what kind of a reaction you had in the past. If it was a late small rash, another exposure may be just a somewhat worse rash.
