Pharmacist is right: To be extra cautious, you can still not be allergic to penicillin, or even ceclor, as with some people drug allergies wane with time, even if it was a true allergic reaction, but most of the time it is just a rash, ceclor is known for it, or viral rash. 22 mths 9.6 kg daughtr had sever throt infctn 6 dys ago. She is on antibtc Ceclor for 5 dys. Fevr was down but tonit it is 103 again. Pl advice. ?
It is not unusual as you have to give Antibiotics for a total of 10 days for Strep infection to be cleared.You can give Tylenol (acetaminophen) for fever and continue Ceclor.But if fever persists consult your Pediatrician and get her rechecked.
