2years on many anti-depss@high doses +cbt, no benefit, now 4 month without meds, still severely depressed, psy-trist couldn't help. Along many appointment.
Try again!: Depression can be treatment resistant. Or sometimes a doctor patient pair isn't well suited to one another. Sometimes when a pt is depressed they may feel all past tx didn't work, when it may have at times, but depression obscures this. Go back to your doc or seek out another. Not necessarily: Generally, the combination of cbt and medication is better than either alone. Using cbt tools may be help with preventing recurrence of whatever it is you have. Going through CBT for anxiety, getting better and definitely less frightened. However, I still get spells of symptoms. Will those go away with time?
