Causing Red Legs Shower
My right leg becomes dark red in the shower and becomes very stiff and painful, what can cause this?
Family practice: Hard to tell it cold be a circulatory problem. Get it checked out.
I have had severe upper rhespiratory problems due to allergies for the past few days but today they re better but now after taking a Claritin and a hot shower I have a blotchy red rash on my arms and legs it s not itchy but I m wondering what the cause mi
Viral? Allergic?: Blotchy appearing reddish rashes can occur when the blood flow in the tiny vessels at the skin's surface change, such as in an allergic rash, a viral rash, or in reaction to changes in skin temperature. Viral infections that cause cold symptoms and other symptoms can sometimes cause such skin patterns (fifth disease, caused by a virus, can cause reddish patterns). A doctor can evaluate if needed.
Possible blood clot: My main worry with those symptoms would be a blood clot in the leg veins called a deep venous thrombosis (dvt). Causes can be long trips/immobility, recent surgery and inherited conditions. These can be life-threatening so need attention. Infections such as cellulitis can also cause those symptoms, as can gout (not always the toe), a baker's cyst behind the knee, and other things. Maybe need checked.
What could be the cause of redness and swelling down my right side, started in my leg as a child and has expanded, could it be klippel trenauncy syndr?
Need evaluation: It sounds like some form of congenital condition but if it is changing or concerning you, you need an evaluation by a dermatologist.
Is overweigth for 50 lbs can cause leg swelling or enlarge leg w/o pain and redness just little big cmpare to left leg after I was cured of cillulitis?
Maybe: I'm going to guess what you are trying to ask here, b/c your question is all over the place. Weight gain can lead to leg swelling, though one would expect both legs to swell. If you had cellulitis in a leg, it can lead to a long standing swelling problem. Consider use of medical compression hose, 20-30mm hg. Knee high should work.
Several things: Could be from too much salt intake. Could be from improper working valves in the veins that allow fluic to leak backwards into the legs.See 1 more doctor answer
simple cause: First and foremost, infection is out. Does anyone else in your family have this, do you stand on your feet a lot, does it get better when your legs are elevated or worse as the day progresses? Look up the terms venous insufficiency or venous stasis. Stop the water pills, stop the antibiotics, and get into a good pair of 20-30mmhg compression stockings and wear them when you are up.See 1 more doctor answer
See details: There are several possible causes including vascular, cutaneous and musculoskeletal causes. The issue could be a localized problem or a manifestation of more systemic disease. See a doctor.See 1 more doctor answer
Help docs! I'm trying to find out what causes swollen ankles with redness around the ankle area and lower legs?
What causes server swelling in left foot and ankle with pain and blotchy redness in foot, ankle area up to 4 or 5 inches or more up your leg twice now?
May not be related.: Your pain could be as a result of many different things. A thorough history and physical exam and possibly some laboratory and radiology exams are needed to determine the exact cause. Causes of pain may include: trauma (fracture, sprain, arthritis), infection, metabolic conditions (gout), circulatory, musculoskeletal or biomechanical abnormality and neurologic conditions (neuropathy).
What causes swelling of the ankles my right ankle swelled up from the inside up to the center of my leg. Excruciating pain and redness. The pain went away after two hours. Two days later my left foot started except only the ankle on the outside swelled wit
In: In general, swelling that occurs in both feet/ankles simultaneously is usually the result of the body retaining fluid. It's the feet and ankles that swell only because gravity brings the fluid down there. It's not a symptom of something wrong with the feet or ankles, but rather some systemic condition that is causing fluid to be retained in the body. The 4 most common causes being an issue with either the heart, lungs, liver or kidneys. But when one foot or ankle swells, it almost always means something is wrong with the foot or ankle, and it's not related to fluid retention. Also, fluid retention is not typically painful; certainly not "excruciating." there are many reasons for an ankle to swell and become painful (i'm assuming there was no injury), and when you say first it was one ankle, then it went away, only to start up on the other ankle, i'd wonder about some kind of arthritic process of an inflammatory nature, like gout or rheumatoid arthritis. I suppose there is also the remote possibility you could have had a phlebitis in one leg which cleared up on its own, and then re-developed it on the other lower leg, but this is a stretch, to be honest. My best advice is to have your primary care physician take a look at it. He or she will be able to rule-out certain conditions, order appropriate tests, and make an appropriate referral to a specialist, if needed. But I wouldn't ignore this. I would get it checked out. Feel better.
Pain in right bump cheek some leg pain no swellin or redness no hist DVT no travel bc can DVT cause bum pain?
Dvt: Given your description your pain and especially its location and lack of distal congestion it is unlikely to be due to dvt. However, since we don't have your medical history or meds it's not possible to be absolutely certain. If you are for some reason really concerned discuss with your doctor and have a vascular study. It is likely neurological like sciatic or muscular due to strain or both.
Leg pain cause? It always starts while im lying down/sleeping, walking gives relief. No swelling/redness/heat. Pain moves around, occurs in both legs.
Variable: Claudication, clot maybe...Best to be evaluated.Get a more detailed answer ›
