My 2.5 years old toddler has red rashes around her mouth like very dry red patches, what causes it, could it be the wind?

Superficial skin: infection? Strange that not entering the water or river could give you enough contact or exsposure to cause enough irritation on the skin to start infection. Or maybe this was a chemical irritant? But then you would think it should also be on any exposed skin. You need to see if it clears on it's own. An OTC steriod cream might help. ...Read more

Multiple factors: There are multiple factors. Certainly getting soap or other chemicals into the eyes will make them red. Just the heat from the steam and hot water is enough to dilate the blood vessels of the conjunctiva which makes the eyes look red. ...Read more

Umm, hard to say.: Heat rash. Viral rash. Allergy rash. Infectious rash. Insect bite. Eczema. Contact dermatitis. The best strategy is to determine the source of the rash then address that specifically. This should be an easy question to pose to your pediatrician during office visit.
