My boyfriend had a yeast infection. Uncircumsized, took the medication and was feeling great but when we tried "it" it hurts him, any suggestions?
Infections are invasions of some other organism (fungus, bacteria, parasite) or viruses into places where they do not belong. For instance, we have normal gut bacteria that live within us without causing problems; however, when those penetrate the bowel wall and enter the bloodstream, ...Read more
Where is it?: Do you have thrush in your mouth? Diarrhea? A rash? Any or all of these can be caused by a yeast infection after antibiotic use. Since you specify "male, " I am guessing that you have a rash in the genital area. Use an over-the-counter fungal cream and see if that helps. Nystatin or clotrimazole can help, for itch relief sooner can mix it half and half with hydrocortisone cream: 7 days max. ...Read more

Hi, Thank you for your question.
A yeast infection happens when there's a change to the normal flora. You can get it if you are immunocomprised or after taking antibiotics. Some people even get it due to stress. Any change to your normal self puts you at risk to get other infections as well.
Hope that helps. Contact me if you have any other questions :-)

Got my first yeast infection 3 months ago and I keep getting them every month, I’ve been to dr got medicine. What could cause this?
Hard to say: The yeast is a normal component of poop. The proximity of the vagina to the anus makes cross contamination easy. Yeast thrives on glucose, which is present in vaginal fluid & even higher amounts if you are diabetic or pre-diabetic. Toileting or sexual practices may make you more prone to recurrence. Yeast is always around, even in the dust, so you won't escape it. ...Read more

My yeast infection is caused by too much sugar. When do I know for sure it's ok to eat sugar again safely?
My UA showed erthyrocytes at 0.3mg/L. I was dealing with a yeast infection at that time - could that be the cause?
Unlikely: Unless it was a severe yeast infection where the tissue is so raw that there is blood. Most yeast infections are not a source of blood in a UA. If you are on your period or recently had a period, then that could sometimes be a source of blood. I recommend repeating the UA after all your symptoms have cleared to make sure there is no longer blood in the urine. ...Read more
