New workout program abt 2wks. W/in a few hours after, have tremors in hands, uncontrollable, very pronounced twitching/restlessness in whole body. Lasts until I take my Ativan and (although I eat right after exercise). What could cause this?

Can be normal: Quite a few folks have this especially when they're doing conditioning. It's a sign you're working hard and you should be proud. Since you're under a physician's care, if this does not resolve as you get more conditioned, discuss whether you might have familial tremor (treated with propranolol, perhaps), a channelopathy (get electrolytes checked) or get a neurology referral. Glad you're exercising ...Read more

This is a dangerous situation with probably very low blood pressure and you could die or pass out while driving for example, so please drink something salty right now and call 911 or have someone drive you to hospital. ...Read more

What conditions would cause constant body tremors? Normal MRI in feb 2013. On celexa (citalopram) 20mg for a month now and tremors are still the same...

Some considerations: Some folks suffer from heredofamilial tremors, or essential tremors, others may experience thyroid problems, anemias can seemingly cause tremors on occasion, and anxiety can cause tremors, amongst a number of problems. In my experience, it is very rare to experience tremor control with celexa (citalopram). If this remains a substantial problem, might try to see a neurologist. ...Read more

Fall asleep with tremors always, whole body shakes. After, I will stand up and move around a few minutes till it goes away then sleep all night. Why?

How about video?: Sudden jerks while falling asleep is considered a normal phenomenon but you seem to be describing something a bit different than that which only requires a bit of movement then, off to sleep from there? How about if you could just set up a camera phone on your nightstand and see if you can't capture an episode of these shakes/tremors. Those would be interesting to see as well as your response. ...Read more

Can nots/bubble looking bumps on feet me a sign of clots? This cause constant lightheadedness for a over a year along with body tremors?

Prob not: "blood clots" would rarely if ever start in the small veins of the feet. I would not think the constant lightheaded feeling and body tremors would be related. If you are taking Celexa (citalopram) you must be seeing a doctor. Bring this up when you see him/her next. ...Read more

Tremors: Dental issues don't usually cause generalized tremors unless you have a severe infection and are shaking from elevated temperature ("rigors.") it's good news that you have normal mri's, ct scans, and neuro exams. My child has a tremor in his upper body (both arms). He is 8. He saw a neurologist and he was recommending an mri. Any idea what causes this?

Tremor in the young: Causes to think of include neoplastic, developmental and inherited (storage disease, wilson's etc). Mri is a good first step to rule out a brainstem tumor or structural problem e.g. Congenital brain malformation, aqueductal stenosis. If negative, CSF studies next to rule out an infectious or inflammatory process. Familial essential tremor can manifest early in life but is a diagnosis of exclusion. ...Read more
