Causes Of Ulcerative Pharyngitis
Can Valtrex cause Viral Pharyngitis? I have 5 tiny canker sore like ulcers on one tonsil. Symptoms appeared two days after starting pill.
No, Valtrex does not: Cause viral pharyngitis. Most likely, the sores you are seeing are from the infection you are treating with the Valtrex. The Valtrex takes some time to begin working & the sores may have already been starting at a sub clinical level. If they are continuing, please see your doctor. Read more
Depend how often: If you have only had one episode then that is no reason to have your tonsils out. Typically this is what I'm thinking about taking out tonsils for infection we use the following: seven infections in one year or four infections a year for two years or three infections a year for three years. Of course if you have airway blockage because your tonsils are so big or chronic discharge that can cause opinions about tonsillectomy to change. Read more

Coxsackie virus?: Coxsackie virus is usually a milder 3-7 day course self-limited infection commonly known as 'hand, foot, and mouth disease, ' named for the most likely sites it attacks. Had flu and throat infection january, one swollen tonsil since, swollen gland same side sometimes, ulcer on tonsil for last 2 days is this cancer?
Unlikely: Most cancers of the oral cavity and throat are painless and have no symptoms until fairly late in the disease. Lymphomas (a cancer of the lymph nodes) can enlarge nodes and the tonsils but won't often ulcerate. More likely this is an infection, so see your doctor asap about whether you need antibiotics. He/she can judge if you fail to respond and then think of other diagnoses. Read more
If in cold weather I go long distance in two wheeler or if I switch on fan in night next day I got tonsillis pharyngitis every month wt is cause?
Mouth breathing: Pay attention to whether your mouth is open on the two wheeler and during sleep (ask your partner). we are supposed to breath through the nose to warm, filter and humidify the air; otherwise the dry cold air irritates the mucosa and results in inflammation and immune responses Read more
Anti-inflammatory;no: Presumably you're referring to a corticosteroid shot rather than an anabolic steroid such as testosterone. Various forms of Prednisone (steroid) can be given as pill or shot, even as cream, all acting as anti-inflammatory to cut down on swelling. However, it doesn't "kill the cause" which is most likely due to either a virus or bacteria. If the latter, need antibiotics. If former, just time. Read more
Never heard of it.: Never heard of cold water causing pharyngitis. However you may try drinking it slower and see if the problem still continues. As for cold weather, I can only theorize that this can happen if you breathe through your mouth instead of your nose. If your nose is obstructed, reducing the nasal blockage may allow you to breathe through your nose. Read more

Does high allergy level serum IGE and Gerd can cause pharyngitis for 6 months and occasional blood mixed with mucus plus to much mucus production.
It's possible: An elevated IgE level is most commonly linked to allergies, whether environmental or otherwise. Environmental allergies could lead to pharyngitis, as that is a common allergy-related symptom. GERD can also cause a painful throat, due to chronic acid exposure. In either case, chronic damage can lead to the presence of blood and/or mucous. Of course large amounts of blood are abnormal. Read more
