I want to know what do orthodontist do as an alternative to not pulling teeth for tooth crowding?

I want to know what do orthodontist do as an alternative to not pulling teeth for tooth crowding?

All Depends: If the dental crowding is not too severe, minor dental arch expansion may create enough space to alleviate the crowding. The upper jaw can be expanded (as an adult, surgical assistance is normally needed), however, the lower jaw cannot be expanded with or w/o surgery. A complete diagnosis and treatment plan is required to make that determination. ...Read more

I have a small tooth gap between my front teeth but it's bothering me so much, I don't want my wisdom teeth to cause over crowding.?

Two issues: If the gap between your two front teeth is small and you are unhappy with it, ask your dentist about having some tooth colored bonded composites placed to close the gap. Other options would be orthodontics and retention or laminates. Personally, I would probably go with the bonding. It's simple, relatively inexpensive and reversible. ...Read more

Impacted wisdom tooth. How do I know if it's overcrowding my front teeth? Does crowding of teeth cause pain? Can overcrowdin be fixed by braces later?

Wisdom Teeth: It's controversial whether impacted wisdom teeth cause crowding or not. If you have pain, it's possible the wisdom teeth are the cause. Overcrowding can certainly be helped with braces, the best thing would be visit a dentist to check on the wisdom teeth and to see what the cause of pain is. They can also give their opinion of braces, it's almost always better to treat crowding earlier. ...Read more

Will teeth crowding cause teeth to feel loose?

Will teeth crowding cause teeth to feel loose?

No: Not in and of itself. Many people with severely crowded teeth have strong healthy teeth and supporting tissues (bone and gums). However, crowded teeth are definitely more prone to cavities and periodontal (gum) problems. Along with traumatic occlusion and loss of bone, the teeth may become loose. If your teeth do feel loose, see your dentist to determine cause and remedy. ...Read more

Will teeth crowding cause your teeth to feel a little loose?

Sometimes: Crowded teeth can contribute to poor oral hygiene, trapped plaque and calculus will cause gingival inflammation and ultimately attachment and bone loss. Uneven pressure from the crowded teeth with less bone means weak anchor and increased mobility.

Do impacted wisdom teeth cause crowding and damage other teeth?

Do impacted wisdom teeth cause crowding and damage other teeth?

Possibly: Impact wisdom teeth probably do not cause crowding of the teeth in the front, because the wisdom teeth would need to push on the 2nd molar, 1st molar, 2nd premolar, 1st premolar, canine and the incisors. Some people believe the wisdom teeth do cause the crowding but people without the wisdom teeth can still get crowding in the front teeth. Sometimes the wisdom teeth cause damage to the 2nd molars. ...Read more

Coincidental: Front teeth crowd for many reasons, evolutionary, genetic, environmental, etc. Wisdom teeth contribute at most 10% to anterior crowding! Which coincidentally seems to occur about the same time that wisdom teeth erupt. Removing wisdom teeth will not affect anterior crowding in any way. Go see a growth and development expert, make an appointment with a qualified orthodontic specialist. ...Read more

What are causes of late eruption of lower front tooth?

For a 9yr old?: 9 is very late for eruption of a lower incisor (one the four first permanent teeth in the center of the mouth).
