Causes Of Tiny White Bumps On Ear Lobe
Cyst: It may be just a simple cyst but you need to see doctor for better evaluation.
I have a bump in my upper ear lobe it looks like a small pimple. It's very painful. It's going to be my second week with this bump.
Ruptured cyst: Likely a ruptured cyst. It may need to be drained or excised. Could also have a small abscess forming that may need antibiotics.
My son is 15, he broke out on cheeks, underneath neck, ear lobe and back of next in very small bumps, itchy and hot to the touch.?
? contact reaction: Sounds like he may be having a contact dermatitis. This is an irritant or allergic reaction to something put on the skin. Does he shave? Any new products on the face? Have him try a soothing lotion like aveeno (oatmeal) and some Hydrocortisone lotion. If the rash increases or swelling develops, have it checked by the doctor.
Sebaceous cysts: Many people have these cysts, which develop in the earlobes and behind the ears. They are oily, containing sebum, and sometimes can get infected. If you're able to express and drain them on your own, I would not be too concerned. If you develop a large one or it becomes infected, then sometimes surgical removal is necessary.
I had a small bump under my ear lobe it was getting big but when I started to apply antibacterial cream to it start going down could you tell me what?
? staph infection: As emergency doctor we are seeing tremendous amounts of staph infection. These are regular skin bacteria that in ordinary times do not do any harm but as they change, they can acquire characteristics to invade our skin and cause abcesses that lot of times require incision and drainage. It is hard to tell without exam to see what this is. See your provider.
I feel a small bump next to & in front of my left ear lobe. When I poke it, it kinda hurts. Could it have to do with my jaw. Orthodontist did mess up jaw?

I have a bump behind my ear on the bone about the size of a small pea. It is not visible and can only be felt when pressing on it. Ear lobe feels hot?
Sebaceous cyst: The sebaceous cyst is a firm rubbery subcutaneous lesion that's freely movable to the skin and has a central open that if squeezed too hard a white thick smelly oil will express from the hole. Do not pick on the whole simply apply warm soapy compress as they open up on its own, if not surgical treatment maybe necessary to remove it.
Will visit derm soon but scaly small bump on ear lobe for years. I remove it, it comes back. Same size, no other symptoms. Could this be skin cancer?
Rash on top of outer ear and behind. - redness -swelling -warm to touch -burning -itching -pain -small bumps large knot slightly under lobe?
My 4 year old son has tiny red bumps on the top of his ear lobes and it seems to be spreading to the outline of his scalp and now on cheeks...any idea?
Many possibilities: Rashes that remain localized to specific areas are often reactions to soaps/lotions or other material that was in contact with that area. Specific cause is hard to confirm without an exam and review of possible exposures.See 1 more doctor answer
Bump: Difficult to diagnose without taking a look at it. Consult your family doctor.
My boyfriend has a bump on the back of is ear lobe. He has popped it once and a dark gray pus came out. Should we be worried?
Don't worry: It's likely an infected cyst. See a doctor soon.
I have a painful (when touched) bump where my ear lobe connect to my face. Is it a cyst? No other symptoms. Should I use a hot compress? Thanks :)
Local infection: Could be a local infection, especially if sensitive to touch. Warm compress can help it come to a head. Keep area clean and it should diminish with time. If not, see your MD!
Re-explain I have a hard white bump 1/2 inch from ear lobe when I wear hair up it can be seen. I have a bad habit of scratching. I'm ashamed of it.?
Bump: This could be an inclusion cyst or wen but it would have to be seen by a physician for diagnosis.
I have a bump in my left ear lobe that's not from a piercing, doesn't hurt & I've had it once b4 but pretty sure it went away. What is it?
Yes: Yes it could be, especially if you belong to a non-white race group. Keloids are far more common in darker skinned races, the darker, the higher the risk of it being a keloid. You can get silicone coated pressure stud earrings to reduce them, do not cut out, will grow larger! See my answers on treatment in this site.See 2 more doctor answers
My 2 year old son has had a bump on his right side of his neck lined up with his ear lobe but right above his hairline. It is now on his left side too?
Likely lymph nodes: These are most likely appropriate lymph nodes along the chain of lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels that drain the ear area. There is little soft tissue under the skin so the nodes stick out. He should be seen if they become very tender, hot to touch, get bigger very fast, or fluid starts coming out. If they already are bigger than the last part of your pinky he should also be checked.

Tender bump in the crease behind ear lobe, no head. Cyst or boil? Seems to be just under skin surface.
