Causes Of Tingling In Scrotum
Yes: Surgical decompression can lead to neurologic symptoms such as this which if persist, worsen or are associated with any problems having bowel or bladder control see your surgeon immediately to rule out any further compression from a blood clot or hematoma or disc herniation. Otherwise, when there has been nerve manipulation during surgery, symptoms can occur and are usually transient.See 1 more doctor answer
Could relieving L3 & L4 nerve compression at l4-5 disc via mechanical traction therapy cause tingling in the penis/scrotum?
I'm a 31 year old male. When I get aroused, instead of erections, I've begun to just get a tingling sensation between the anus and scrotum.
Hi, I've just turned 21 and had a really intense tingling sensation in my scrotum. The tip of my penis was really cold after. First time ive felt it.
Tingling/paresthesia: A pinched nerve or nerve deprived of oxygen can result in a tingling, heat, or cold sensation. Competitive cyclists can have this happen to the pudendal nerve after prolonged cycling, causing scrotal/penile symptoms. Symptoms that can accompany this include inability to control the bowels and bladder. Recurrent tingling/cold feelings without clear reason would warrant getting seen in clinic.
There is itching only specific spot of my scrotum and groin. There is visible rash. What could it be? Also scrotum has a tingling sensation.
Lifted a heavy object and felt tingling in left testicle. Local doc says no hernia, just pulled a muscle down there. But Scrotum is tight/retracted?!
Hernia to be.: You did stretch the muscle around the area where the cord pass. There is a natural opening there called the ring, there is internal, and external. The ring might becomes wider after heavy lifting, which will promote the making of a hernia in the future, the doctor might not feel a full blown hernia yet, that why it called, a hernia want to be. Apply heat, take ibuprofen, and avoid heavy lifting.
My scrotum has been tingling/numb and a discomfort. My left foot is also numb in the toes and I am slighlty sore in my groin. No visible changes.
Neuralgia/neuropathy: Your presented cluster of symptoms strongly suggests developing regional nerve disorders (neuralgia/neuropathy) possibly related with pinched nerves. To verify, one needs more info on the detailed specifics, relevance, & sequence of events of all symptoms + findings of physical exam + testing as needed. How to get these done rightly? Itch/tickling feeling under scrotum near anus. Worst after masturbation. Goes away if I press it. Could it be anxiety?
Maybe anxiety: It is unlikely any significant health problem is the cause of symptoms like yours. I can't say whether anxiety is the explanation, but it seems a good bet. Whenever someone suspects his or her own symptoms have a psychological origin, usually s/he is correct.
Scrotum has been twitching, testicle seem to be moving repeatedly for about 2-3 hours (for 2-3 days) (sharp tickling sensation, no pain as such). Why?
Probably stress?: Or you've been touching yourself more frequently lately? (joke intended). If u develop pain or feel a lump in the future, go see your dr. I feel itchy myself while I'm typing this. U are contagious!
Many things.: Acute scrotal pain can be caused by testicular torsion, infections such as epididymitis, orchitis or mumps, appendix testis torsion, cancer, hernia, hydrocele, spermatocele, varicocele & traumatic injury. If you have sudden pain, please see a physician since torsion or infection must be treated immediately. A physician will be able to assess the need for scrotal ultrasound & direct treatment.See 1 more doctor answer
Here are some...: Some lesions like psoriasis, eczema (including atopic dermatitis), etc. May cause recurrent intractable itch, but the underlying causes for these lesions remain unknown, although skin fungal infection could lead to similar itch but responding well to antifungal with steroid cream. Nonetheless, it is hard to offer right Dx for right care without a direct look at them.
Unknown Cause: When calcification of the scrotal wall occurs, there is still uncertainty as to the cause. Some believe it is from the breakdown of the muscle in the skin; others believe it is incited by trauma. Regardless, the treatment is the same: surgical excision if desired by the patient. They can recur, but if all nodules are excised this is reduced. It is not associated with cancer or uncleanliness.
SWELLING OF SCROTUM: Sudden swelling of the scrotum is a symptom that can be with many different diagnoses. Pain, fever, lumps, tenderness all are symptoms that need to be evaluated with this swelling.
No: Of course, anything is possible -- but that's pretty rare. I've never seen nor heard of anything like that -- it would have to be quite the kick!See 1 more doctor answer
Many causes: Scrotal swelling has many potential causes. Enlargement of the testicle itself is concerning for tumor. Fluid can accumulate around testicle - hydrocele or spermatocele. A groin hernia can extend into the scrotal sac. Infection adjacent to testicle will cause painful swelling and tenderness. Finally, varicose veins above the testicle (varicocele) causes swelling above the testicle.See 1 more doctor answer
Eczema: This could be suggestive of eczema on the scrotum. The genitals are a common region to have eczema flares. Try moisturizing the area with a cream based (not lotion) moisturizer such as cetaphil cream or cetaphil restoraderm. If this does not clear it up, see a dermatologist.
Scrotal pain: Very often scrotal pain made worse by standing is due to varicocele. These essentially are varicose veins of the testes and occur predominantly on the left side. To be certain, you should be examined by a physician.
