Hernaited disc: Most definitely can be related. Bulging discs can compresses on your sciatic nerve which can give pain or numbers down the foot. Well to me numbness can be caused by lots of things you would need to explain more but a common simple cause is right shoes, high heels that push on a nerve in the toe or even hitting it like playing soccer. If you have a simple nerve injury it should go away quickly and feeling restored. If not I would see a doctor there could be other things. ...Read more

It is less likely from a medical condition like diabetes or vitamin B12 deficiency, since that should affect both feet equally.
