Can anxiety cause tingling by your collarbone? or something more serious? I had pain in one of.my fingers also but it.wrnt away it's on my left side

Anxiety sensations: Anxiety can cause one to tense up their muscles and by doing so, can cause some tingling sensations like you describe. It seems, you have some form of anxiety as you are prescribed clonazapam, which you may know, can be habit forming. If you were my patient, and because you are young; I would work toward trying to treat your anxiety without the use of benzodiazapines, like clonazapam. Good luck. ...Read more

Varies: There are a number of possible causes, from a subtle instability of the acromioclavicular joint to a failure of fusion of the ossification centers of the clavicle. I would not hesitate to be seen and have an X-ray if it concerns you. ...Read more

Shoulder or AC: Sounds like acromioclavicluar (ac) joint instability. Did you dislocate your shoulder or ac joint 9 years ago? Many people mistakenly think an ac dislocation is a shoulder dislocation. I would see an orthopedist for advice. ...Read more

Tingling sensation left side of neck, starting at collarbone and progressing through left shoulder to the elbow.

My fiancee' has tingling on the neck & collarbone, dizziness, shaking, slightly overweight, fuzzy vision. What do I do? What could this be? Worried =/

Get checked: I would certainly take her to be checked as soon as possible. The combination of dizziness and vision changes is particularly concerning and a stroke would be one consideration among many possible causes. Consider taking her to the er to be seen immediately. Thank you. ...Read more

What can cause shoulder pain in front of the clavicle on the left side when sitting having back support? And no pain when standing or laying

Unclear: I'll say that "in front of the clavicle" close to the breastbone is the sternoclavicular joint. The pectoralis major muscle attaches to the "front" of the clavicle, but i've never seen a strain of that muscle hurt in that location. Other small ligaments and muscles attach to the clavicle, but i just can't imagine anything that causes pain only when sitting. ...Read more

My left clavicle and upper chest area and have been numb for approx. 1 1/2 week. What could be the cause? Should I see a doctor or see if it goes away

My left clavicle and upper chest area and have been numb for approx. 1 1/2 week. What could be the cause? Should I see a doctor or see if it goes away

However, if you are old enough to have any kind of arthritis, this could represent a spin injury for example from a compression fracture or a disc. If the latter, then you should be seen before any other effects occur. And for heaven sakes, no snow shoveling! ...Read more
