Causes Of Tingling In Hips
I have a radiating pain combined with numbness/tingling from hip to ankle caused by exercise. Will this improve or do I need medical atttention?
Sciatica: Sounds like you may have a nerve impingement in your lumbar spine region. Anti-inflammatories, stretching your hamstrings and lower back may alleviate your symptoms. Decrease impact activity too. If this doesn't help, or symptoms worsen, see an orthopedist or spine/pain management specialist. You might need an epidural.See 1 more doctor answer

Severe back pain from the lumbar area shooting down through the hips and then down my legs. It causes some tingling in my legs and it also has causedo?
Sciatica: Shooting pain, tingling, pins and needles in the legs can be caused by pinched nerves in the back. This is sciatica and can be caused by herniated discs, arthritis, other back problems. It's often treated with antiinflammatory meds, physical therapy, cortisone shots (epidurals), or surgery. Any trouble controlling or moving urine or bowels is an emergency and would need er eval right away.See 1 more doctor answer
What causes tingling numbness I legs, knees and feet? Alsobottom of feet ache. Left worse than right. I do have bursitis in hips and C7 herniated disc
Many possible causes: There are many possible causes of numbness in your legs and feet. I know nothing of your health but diabetes can cause this, vitamin B12 deficiency, herniated disc issues, local nerve entrapment, or what is called idiopathic peripheral neuropathy. This warrants evaluation by your physician.
I have a tingling feeling on/ in my left hip. Before it was a tingling sensation but gradually it gets worst now it won't to away. What could it be?
Hip?: Where exactly do you mean? The 'hip joint' is pretty close to the groin. The side of your upper leg has a boney prominence called the greater trochanter, which can be a focal point of pain. The pelvis has a big bone called the iliac crest that can get bumped and bruised. Need to be more specific about where the sensations are happening.
I am 31 years old female and over weight (230lbs)I have a tingling sensation on my left hip, for about 2 days now. Should I be concerned?
Nerve compression: This might be due to compression of one of the superficial cutaneous nerves of the thight (the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve)-- a condition called meralgia paresthetica. Is the pictured area affected? This is a common condition in overweight individuals or individuals who tend to wear tight fitting pants as this nerve runs right under the belt line.
Tingling in outer left hip when laying on right side. Comes for a few months &goes away for a while and returns. I'm thin build. M.paraesthetica?
Possibility: It sounds as if you've done your homework here. The question is why - please see your doctor for further evaluation.
Have a tingling sensation like I have electros hooked to me. Starts around my thigh thru the hip any clues?
M Parasthetica: Meralgia paresthetica is a common condition caused by pressure from a belt particularly with heavy items, garter belts and even tight clothing. It causes compression of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve which courses down the outside of the thigh. Other conditions can cause these symptoms. If not better with attention to above, you need to see a doc for diagnosis.See 2 more doctor answers

I've been having tailbone pain for 3 plus weeks. Gradually getting worst as time passes. I've just started having tingling feelings in my hips and bum?
Not tailbone pain: The tailbone is a teeny weeny little bone that really is connected to nothing and does nothing. If by "tailbone" you mean lower lumbar, sacral or buttock pain that is getting worst and now you're feeling paresthesias in roughly the same areas, you need to get it checked out. There may be something in your lower back that is putting pressure on important structures. Don't procrastinate.
Stroke?: Go to make sure that it is not a stroke! don't wait....!
Just reading about epidural insertion "Some women experience a strong tingling in the hip or running down a leg." Why is this? Thanks!
Nerve roots: The catheter can brush past nerve roots in the lumbar region and cause minor stimulation of them. Any sensations you feel will be in the body part the nerves carry sensation from, not the nerves themselves. In this case, the lower lumbar and upper sacral roots carry sensory input from the legs and feet.
I have been having this awful stabbing pain in my lower back/hip area. It feels like a hard mass and feels like a burning tingling sensation?
What's causing the pain in the front part of my right leg? What's causing the tingling numb feeling in my right hip? Can these two symptoms be related?
Seek MD help: Any feeling of numbness can be related to your nervous system and/or cardiovascular system. You would be well to seek an internist, md to give you an evaluation and refer you to the proper specialist.
Sciatic pain, top left buttock, hip & left side of body. Also tingling/numbness bottom of spine. Worst at night, hurts to move & just sitting down, help?
Ouch: sciatica (pain related to the course and distribution of the sciatic nerve), along with paresthesias (unusual sensations associated with sensory nerves) can be due to muscular inflammation, but might reflect ongoing damage to the nerve itself. Best to consult with your Primary Care practitioner for further evaluation and possibly imaging.
Advice to understand - pain down left hip/back of leg down to calfsome tingling at foot. Had mri?
Sciatica?: This sounds like a nerve irritation in your back or leg that is causing tingling and pain. This nerve irritation can be caused by arthritis or a bulging disc in your back. The MRI is to see what problems, if any, are in your back so that appropriate treatment can begin. I recommend you ask your doctor for clarification as well.
Got a bite on hip flexor area purple discoloration extending proximal local inflamed red bite tingling in toes?
Get it checked: Purple discoloration is most likely a bruise (hemolyzed blood from the venom/bite). Whether it is of concern or not, only a doctor can tell. If it is extending, it means the injury is continuing. Tingling in the toes may be a sign of the nerve being affected, so better get it checked.See 1 more doctor answer
