Doctor can evaluate: The pelvis is a big, strong bone... Actually several bones fused together, such as the hip bones, the sacrum (bottom of the spine), and the pubic bone. It can be tilted if one leg is longer than the other, or if one or both hip joints are abnormal (so that one leg attaches to the pelvis a little higher or lower than where the other leg attaches). An orthopedic or physical medicine doctor can help.

What could cause painful tailbone and back of hips. Worse around menstration. I have a tilted pelvis would this be the cause? Thanks.

Maybe: Women with a retroverted (tilted) uterus tend to have more back pain with their periods and pain on deep penetration with intercourse. If this is something new or gradually worsening, you should probably be checked to see if something else is going in, like a cyst. Pain worsening around menses could also be a sign of endometriosis.

Back pain: You may need to adjust your exercise regimen to low impact exercises such as a recumbent bicycle or elliptical machines. See a physiatrist or spine surgeon for guidance on the best exercises for your back problems.

Can really tensing the stomach muscles when doing a pelvic tilt cause a disk bulge? Hope its not a silly question, just when doing them my foot buzzes

Can really tensing the stomach muscles when doing a pelvic tilt cause a disk bulge? Hope its not a silly question, just when doing them my foot buzzes

Not a dumb question: Doing this exercise will not cause a disk bulge per se but will cause narrowing of the area of the spine where nerve roots are located and impingement of this would explain the leg pain/foot numbness.

Is it ok to sleep slightly tilted up during pregnancy or slightly angled to to the left? I'm 22w4d with marginal previa. All left causes me hip pain

Is it ok to sleep slightly tilted up during pregnancy or slightly angled to to the left? I'm 22w4d with marginal previa. All left causes me hip pain

Yes.: Sleeping partially tilted to the left or at a partially upright angle is fine. Although we prefer the left side, you may also sleep on your right side. The main idea is to not sleep flat on your back. Also try a pillow under your hips.

Is tilted pelvis due to a sciatica temporary or permanent condition?

Is tilted pelvis due to a sciatica temporary or permanent condition?

Lots of Reasons: There are so many things going on. Your ligaments can stretch quite a bit especially in the pelvis resulting in pain. Also the pelvis position can place stress on your spine resulting in bulging discs or even herniated disks causing the sciatica pain. Recommend seeing a pelvic floor specialized therapist that can guide you through this. Also recommend seeing a spine specialist.

Can a interal pelvis exam cause discomft on yiu rectum? I had one yesterday and have felt as though I have a wedgie ever since.

Gynecological issue?: The recurrence of these symptoms maybe related to ovarian cysts. Ultrasound could help there. But bowel issue could also present this way such as diverticular disease. Talk to your doctor as soon as possible to help find the cause. Best wiahes

My fiancé suddenly got a sharp pain on the right side of his pelvis. What could we have done to make it go away? And what could have caused it?

My fiancé suddenly got a sharp pain on the right side of his pelvis. What could we have done to make it go away? And what could have caused it?

Many possibilities: The right lower side of pelvis is where the appendix lies and this can get infected or twisted. Also this is a common area for kidney stone, gas distention or pain associated w hernia or urine infection. The only way to now for sure is with eval. It would be helpful to know other symptoms such as nausea / vomiting / diarrhea/constipation/painful urination/ blood in urine...Etc. Go see doctor.

I have been experiencing repeated pain in the pelvic area. The pain is not very intense but is chronic and inconsistent. It is located on the left side of my pelvis.. I have had a procedure done in that area when I was younger. Is that a cause of co

Possibly: You should see a healthcare provider for that. Without knowing more about the history of the pain it is hard to tell you what it might be. It could be the result of the prior procedure or it could be completely unrelated. A good evaluation by a primary care physician would be a good place to start. I would not ignore it, though, because it could represent something serious.

I got an xray on my back yesterday, and my IUD looks off to me. Is it normal for it to be not in the center of my pelvis and slightly tilted?

I got an xray on my back yesterday, and my IUD looks off to me. Is it normal for it to be not in the center of my pelvis and slightly tilted?

IUD is passenger: Your IUD is a "passenger" contained within the uterus. So it goes where the uterus does and the uterus is flexible as it is suspended by ligaments in the pelvic space.

Can a belt cause a rash on my pelvis area?

Can a belt cause a rash on my pelvis area?

Belt rash: Yes, it can. Usually the culprit is the nickel that is in the buckle. Most people are allergic to that. Try a cortisone cream twice a day and see if it helps.
