Causes Of The Right Arm Numbness And Tingling
I have arm numbness and tingling in my left arm but also sometimes my right arm. My hand also feels like it wants to cripple up. I'm only 26 years old.
Arm numbness: Numbness in the arms often occurs from sleeping with the arms bent or working in a job with a lot of repetition. Other frequent causes include spinal stenosis or compression of the spinal cord. Diabetes, low B12 levels, and low thyroid function are common causes too. A neurological evaluation and a nerve conduction test can identify the cause of the numbness.
I have neck pain that's running down my left arm numbness and tingling. What is the cause of this?
PRESSURE ON NERVES: Pain in neck radiating down the arm usually is from pressure on the nerves that originate from the neck you need to be evaluated by your doctor or an ortopedic specialist, you need exam and may need MRI exam to find the cause. You are only 34 years old so see your doc.See 2 more doctor answers

Pinched nerve: Sounds like you may have a pinched nerve in the neck. Often patients will develop numbness, tingling, and pain that radiates from the neck down the arm. Depending on the nerve that is pinched, it will affect different parts of the hand. Over time, weakness in the arm may develop as well. I would recommend getting it checked out. You may need an EMG and/or MRI

TOO V CERVICAL DISC: SX are suggest cervical disc disease vs TOO (THORACIC OUTLET OBSTRUCTION)When you cough, sneeze or hiccup, you increase intrathoracic pressure and flare pain. Please see your doctor and get an MRI of the cervical spine and MRA of RUE to evaluate both conditions. The 2 can overlap and a NEURO CONSULT for EMG (ELECTROMYELOGRAM) may be needed.
Many things: One thing is a peripheral neuropathy, but that usually starts in the feet, later gets into the fingers. It's not really arms and legs, but more a "feet then hands" kind of thing. Certain meds can do it, too. Discuss with your doc if persistent and/or worsening.
Only arms: Disc in neck can cause tingling in one or both arms but not in legs.
Do you: Have any history of back problems. That is a potential cause.See 1 more doctor answer

No: Herniated disc of the low back can cause numbness and tingling in one leg (rarely both), but not in the arms. 25% of americans have herniated disc in the lumbar spine without any symptoms.
