Go to emergency dept: You must have this looked at. It could be an infection or something else that is serious. If you don't have a doctor or clinic you can go to, then go to the emergency department at a local hospital.

What condition would cause lower back pain and a swollen left leg?

What condition would cause lower back pain and a swollen left leg?

Get it checked: Low back pain is common as we are more sedentary and gain weight. However, your description of a lower extremity involvement may point to something serious like a pinched nerve or blood flow obstruction. Don't delay, see your doctor, he may recommend imaging studies like an mri.

Is there a muscle that runs along the spine in the back that if it became tight wood appear swollen and cause pain in lower back wrapping around

So I have a strained muscle in my lower back but I was wondering does it cause swollen feet also my feet were swollen when we had socks on over night?

Probably not: A strained muscle in your lower back may keep you from bending down easily and at times it may be hard to stand up from a seated position, but I do not believe that it would have any relation to swelling of feet. Make sure that you are not ingesting more than your usual share of sodium (found in table salt, soft drinks, used as preservative, etc). When you retain salt you retain water-->swelling.

Swollen glands, lower back pain, constantly dehydrated and fatigued. What could be the cause?

You need to: See an internist for further examination there are many reasons you can have these symptoms. You may have a virus like mononucleosis. A doctor would be able to make a diagnosis after a thorough exam which may include bloodwork, throat culture etc.

I have a swollen lymphnode on my lower back it's been there for over 3 months getting bigger I'm not sure what to do?

This is probably: NOT a lymph node if its "on" your back it sounds more like a sebaceous cyst (plugged sweat gland") This needs to be seen and a definitive Diagnosis made before treatment is advised! Hope this helps! Dr Z

Why is the right side of my belly button swollen? I also have pain in my lower back on my left side

Why is the right side of my belly button swollen? I also have pain in my lower back on my left side

? hernia: You may have a small umbilical hernia especially if you are able to push the swelling back inward. I recommend that you have your physician examine this area and advise you. The back discomfort should not be related and the physician can evaluate the back and left sided abdominal discomfort as well.

My 5yr I old son has 2 red swollen bumps on his lower back. Its as if his vertebrae have become inflamed. They are painful when touched. Thanks.

Need to see a doctor: There is a lot of conditions that will cause that. I am concern about the location, and the fact they are red and painful. I strongly recommend that you take him to see a doctor.

I hit the middle of my lower back with glass table. After that I get a lot of pain when sitting, standing or walking. It's swollen. It has been 4month?

Time to have exam: 4 mths is long enough to suffer. Have an evaluation. A medical doctor or chiropractor or PT can assess the injury and recommend Tx. It looks like it's not just going away. Don't let the effects spread to other parts due to the 'alignment' distortions you make to avoid pain. Best!

I hit the middle of my lower back with glass table. Now I get a lot of pain when sitting, standing or walking. It's swollen. Pain goes down to my butt?

Give it time: Seems like a good wack...a contusion. Ice it 20 minutes every 2 hours for 3-4 days and then go to heat. Use Ibuprofen or Tylenol (acetaminophen). Keep up with range of motion and in 3-6 weeks it will go away. If you hit the bony part of the back it can hurt pretty deeply for weeks. You might have hematoma but the above treatment will care for that too, .

Those: Those are unusual symptoms, and head swelling is very rare. Please have an immediate medical evaluation by your doctor. If you have increased pain, swelling, fever, vomiting, weakness, numbness, or if your doctor can't see you right away then please go to the er.
