I am a 25 year old woman. A few weeks ago I noticed slight swelling two inches below my navel and just to the left. I have no other symptoms.
8 days ago i developed a swelling just above my navel that is visible only if i stand and lean back.It sticked out more at the beggining,now less.
Navel: You may have a small umbilical hernia that is only noticeable on that maneuver. Diastasis: Sounds like it could be diastasis recti. This is when the connection between the rectus muscles (six pack) thins and spreads out. This looks like a long bulge in the middle between the umbilicus and breast bone only when you are doing a sit up, or participating in a limbo contest.
