Is it ringworm?: A biopsy is not needed for superficial fungal infections of the skin. You doctor and a skin scrapping and confirm the diagnosis. My husband has double pneumonia and is experiencing pain in back of both arms. The pain excruciating. What would cause this.
Complications: If he has had pneumonia for at least several days, i would be concerned about possible complications like pleural effusion or emphysema, or infected fluid in the space between the lung and the chest wall.
