My sister has two medium sized lumps on her chest between her shoulders and neck and one under her armpit. What could be the cause.
Chest lumps: The causes of your sister's lumps can be multiple. It doesn't sound like they are in her breasts, though, but if they are, she needs to have them checked promptly. I suspect you may be referring to lymph nodes since lymph nodes are located in the armpits and in the areas between the shoulders and neck. Muscular pull: When you press your chest does it hurt? Could becostochondritis and inflammation of the insertion of muscle to ribs. NSAID agents help .Sometimes I have seen it associated with mycoplasma infection and zithromax if no allergy helps. Many things: It is pretty clear that this is not coronary artery disease (heart attack) due to the duration of the symptoms. A lump may be caused by: hematoma (bruise), abscess (infection), or even malignancy. If the lump went away on its own, not likely to be malignancy (cancer). A bruise or infection is more likely.
