Hard lump under left side of collarbone and slightly to the left of sternum clavicular bone = what are possible causes of this? Thank you.
Hi I went to my gp to check a lump in my left collarbone he said it was a gland and its fine still worried cause what IV red online bout location of it?
Besides breast cancer/lymphoma, what else causes a hard, immovable, non-tender lump under collarbone in area of infraclavicular node on left side? Thx
Many things: Infection, cyst, benign tumor, bruise/bleed; most lumps are not cancer, but masses that are cancer in general continue to grow with time. If you are over 40, I would recommend you should be having annual mammography, regardless of whether you have an infraclavicular mass. Pay attention to this mass, and you should try to see your physician regarding this. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Not likely, but: A cancer of the clavicle bone would be highly unlikely. However, there are lymph nodes located just behind the mid point of the clavicle that might be enlarged and mistaken for the bone itself. Enlargement here would be significant. If this painless lump has been present for years without change likely insignificant. If it's just been noticed more recently, or getting larger, have it examined . ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

How deep?: How deep in the lump? If it feels like it is more on the surface, you should see a dermatologist. If it feels deeper you should get a breast exam and a mammogram from your family practice doctor. If you need to discuss this in more detail or you want me to look at the lump, you can schedule a virtual visit with me. ...Read more
