You should: Have that "mass" checked out by the surgeon who did your procedure!! ASAP!!! Sounds like you have a HEMATOMA (Collection of blood) due to the procedure. (A known complication!)

Probably: Some pain with a hernia is normal. If you are having fevers, nausea/vomiting, or the skin over the hernia is red/purple and you are having a LOT of abdominal pain then you need to go the ER. Otherwise it's okay to wait.
