I've had sharp pain in my back while bending for the past two days. What could cause that? I've had headaches, neck/back pain for the past two years.

Depends.....: At your age it is likely to be muscular in nature. Certain positions can trigger muscle spasms in some people. Try a heating pad and gentle massage. If people have herniated discs the pain can be worse with bending forward, but that would be uncommon in your age. If it does not improve, it would be worth a quick evaluation by primary care and likely physical therapy. ...Read more

It: It sounds like you may have an irritated nerve accounting for your weakness. A nerve may be pinched in your neck due to a disc problem or bone spur. However, the pain in the front of your chest is not the typical pattern for a pinched nerve in the neck. If you have on-going chest pain or shortness of breath, you should be evaluated immediately for a cardiac problem.

The neck pain and arm weakness make more sense anatomically. You should see a physician who can evaluate this and make recommendations for further testing (such as and mri) and further treatment (such as physical therapy). Until the cause of this is clarified and until the source of chest pain is identified, I am hesitant to recommend any home treatment. ...Read more

Left neck felt sharp pain. Now dull pain and left arm burns n back n top of head hurts. What could cause this?

Probably soft tissue: Assuming you have previously been healthy the source of pain is probably soft tissue irritation (ligament or muscle) causing muscle spasm in the neck. What causes pain above eye, sharp pain going up back of head and neck pain and occasionally facial irritation, had cervical MRI deg disc dis bone spur?
