Sore throat: It could be especially if there is alot of pus but it is much more likely to be from another bacteria. If it is on one side it could be an abscess and that needs drainage since antibiotics are less likely to work. All and all a trip to the MD is in order. ...Read more

Hmmmmmm.: I'm not sure if i personally would agree with that observation. Smoking can and will cause changes to the soft tissues of your mouth, including the palate. I would think that over time, the tissues will revert back to their natural healthy state, unless there has been some irreversible damage. You might want to check with an oral surgeon regarding the health of the tissues of your palate. ...Read more

Not likely: that your symptoms are caused entirely from infected piercing. However, infection on the nose can spread to brain, so get to a doctor for immediate treatment. ...Read more

Not usually: Post-nasal drips do not affect the tonsils. With the cluster of symptoms , you need to rule out the presence of sinusitis. Absent that, acid reflux may affect the lingual tonsil (that one which sits behind your tongue and not usually visible) and occasionally the oropharyngeal tonsils if the reflux reaches as high as your mouth.
