A red welt the size of a silver dollar on my lower back it's got a white center & itches & a hard knot underneath when I rub it. Possible causes?
Welt: This may be an insect bite in view of the firm swelling in the middle along with redness and itching. A giant hive would be another possibility. -red blood usually comes from lesions near the anus & lower colon. Best guess is hemorrhoids. They R not always visible as they R internal, visible R external. A rectal exam is a start. A little young 4 colon cancer but a colon Ca is not R/O, nor are pre cancerous polyps. More so if a family Hx of it.
