Causes Of Red Rash On Right Side Stomach
What could be the cause of this rash on my stomach, sides, and breasts it's red, raised, and very itchy I just got over a virus could that cause it?
Examination: Without seeing this it is impossible to know. If you were on antibiotics or other medications it may be a systemic allergic reaction. Could also be a contact dermatitis due to detergent in clothing, etc. the other possibility is that this is part of a tick-borne infection, although those are seldom itchy. Have this looked at by a professional. Good luck. ...Read more

Unlikely: If it was related to the colonoscopy, it is because of a drug reaction but allergies to the typical sedation medications used is uncommon. I would recommend following up with your primary care physician to get these areas evaluated if still present. They can make a more accurate diagnosis by getting your history and examining you. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Hives: If you have hives, the rash should be itchy and it should be dynamic (each spot tends to move or disappear before being replaced by another spot). First or second line antihistamines are a good first step if you suspect hives. If this is recurring or persisting for more than a week, consider a virtual consult to discuss potential causes and the necessary work up. ...Read more

My baby has a red rash on abdomen and upper back, not raised. He seems fine, not irritable. We introduced oatmeal today, can this be cause?
Possibly: You may want to keep a calender of food offerings & the events that come up in the day or days afterward. This might be a food rash or something unrelated. The intensity is not worrisome if the child seems fine. You might exclude the oatmeal for a month and offer again. If the rash returns you know it is related & can nix (permethrin) it for sure.
