I have a refractive error of -5.75 in both eyes (myopia & astigmatism) and floaters in both eyes. Is a pupil dilation better than the digital retinal?
Several factors: The major cause of blurred vision from glaucoma is related to damage to the optic nerve. The visual information it sends to the brain is not as crisp since some of the "wires" within the nerve are lost. It is similar to a television cable that has been paritally cut, causing the t.V. Your eye's pupil may become dilated during sex if you are engaging in the activity in a dimly lit room as a normal reaction to the eye needing more light to enter the eye and impact the retina for one to see. Lack of sex may make you a poor "pupil" of sex however. ...Read more
Is one optic nerve being bigger than the other a sign of glaucoma? Is eye pressure 20 & 17 a sign of glaucoma?
Its a risk factor: Asymmetry of the optic nerve between eyes is one known red flag for potential glaucoma. Also a slightly elevated eye pressure in the eye with more "cupping" can be another risk factor. It will be best to have each eye evaluated in an exam with a visual field test and possibly photos of the nerve to evaluate how healthy it is. It made need treatment or just close observation.
