I have a medium: It could be a cyst which is filled with fluid and can happen after an injury or almost jello type tissue if you have had it for a while or a lipoma, that consists of fatty tissue, both cause no problems. However, if the lump is getting bigger or is not going away, best to see a podiatrist or a surgeon, get an ultrasound and/or an MRI to find exactly what it is.

Please help! Pain on my left leg and also a lump of something. Could you explain the cause of this?

Can U Be specific?: Where in the leg is the lump? Leg is between the knee and ankle joints. It could be anything, arising from skin, fat, muscle or the bone. If its near a joint then it could be from joint tissues. If there is any injury to it, then it could be a collection of blood or fluid, which will improve over 2 weeks time, otherwise you need to see a doctor to have it checked.

See physician: Should get this looked at soon. Painless lumps are usually not infections or other simple problems. Was this a lump that changed or was there nothing there 5 days ago? Could be a muscle hernia if it disappears when you lie down. In general, all hard painless lumps should be checked out to be sure that they are not abnormal tissue.

No Need for ER visit: Pain in the distribution as you suggested describes the pattern of the nerve that travels in the leg called the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve is not the cause of the pain source, it is the result of an irritated nerve typically in the lumbar spine (low back) which are caused by herniated disks, spinal stenosis or degenerative disc disease requiring further evaluation by a spine specialist.

Hey, so I have a tiny, soft lump on my shin on my left leg. It's painless and can be moved back and forth. Just curious what it is, no recent injuries?

Needs evaluation: Soft tissue mass that's mobile and painless can be anything from a cyst, fibroma, lipoma, or hematoma. More concerning would be if it is increasing in size. If present for more than a month would have it evaluated

Cyst?: It sounds like it could be what is commonly called a baker's cyst or popliteal cyst. A baker's cyst is a buildup of joint fluid (synovial fluid) that forms a cyst behind the knee. If it is small and painless, simple observation is sufficient. You should have your pcp or an orthopedic doc examine you to confirm.

Hard lump on outter thigh left leg... 2 smaller ones on right outter leg... what could it be?

Hard lump on outter thigh left leg... 2 smaller ones on right outter leg... what could it be?

The good news is: Most all the lumps under the skin of the extremities are benign. The most common are lipomas (benign fatty, soft tissue growths) dermatofibromas or neurofibromas. Dermatofibromas may be slightly pigmented/brownish. Sometimes neurofibromas can turn in cancers so they are sometimes removed. Other types of bumps include epidermoid cysts, keratosis pillars, etc. Which can be distinguished by a doctor

Skin lump: There are many possibilities. You should see your doctor or a dermatologist to evaluate the lesion. The dermatologist will decide if a biopsy is needed to establish a definitive diagnosis. Treatment, if any is needed, will depend on what the diagnosis turns out to be.

A small sized lump pops out on the bottom front side left leg whenever I stand. It isn't painful but aches and tugging sensation. What could this be?

Sprain or Overuse: Men in their late 20's with tugging and aching areas of lower legs may be overdoing it. If you think you are overusing a joint, cut back on your exercise routine and ice the area until it's on the mend.

Cyst: This is very likely a benign cyst which is a collection of fluid or solid material. If it does not hurts or change in size I would just keep an eye on it. If it does bother you see you in orthopedic surgeon and they can easily take it out.
