Don't worry...: ...but, you should at least have it evaluated. A "lump" above your knee joint after playing basketball suggests an injury to the joint or the soft tissues around the joint. Possibilities include an effusion, bursitis, Baker's cyst, and many others. BUT, it's not likely something terrible like a tumor since those don't usually pop up in one day.
