Causes Of Non Itchy Rash On One Leg
Several causes: A non-itchy rash that stays for a long while may have several causes, ranging from mild to more serious. Without a detailed description of the lesions, I would not even try to suggest a cause. See an internist first. Don't try to treat it y ourself. ...Read more

Different causes: There are different causes of this type of rash includung allergy to foods, medications, etc. Have a physician or dermatologist evaluate the rash if still present. In the meantime if you're uncomfortable you could take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for the itch but be aware that it can cause drowsiness. Claritin is less effective but does not cause drowsiness. ...Read more
Bitten by non-lyme tick 8 mos ago (tick was tested). Itchy rash over legs, arms, buttocks, weight loss and night sweats. What could be the cause? Thx
Many possibilities: Besides lyme, ticks can transmit many other infections including babesia, bartonella, ehrlichina, rickettsia and other types of borrelia. The tick testing negative for lyme does not rule out other infections. But your symptoms could be unrelated to the bite too! See a doc knowledgeable in tick-borne illness. Consider seeing a doc for general evaluation too, ideally a holistic doc. ...Read more
What causes an itchy rash with little bumps on top of my feet and redness on lower legs? Also, bumps are not itching anymore, now they are dry bumps.
Allergic reaction: Usually rashes on the top of your feet are casued by some type of allergic reaction or contact dermatits. With your lower legs involved I would rule out edema/swelling as an issue as well. Your socks or shoes could be creating the rash on your feet more so if they got wet while wearing them or if you have changed soaps or detergents. If the rash persists or returns get examined by a doctor. ...Read more
I have an itchy rash, the size of a finger print, on my ankle. There are other little one popping up on my legs & one on my arm too. Any suggestions?
Examination: It's difficult to say without seeing the rash and asking a series of questions about possible causes. Local contact with something you are allergic to (contact dermatitis) is a common cause. Fungal infections (ringwork or tinea) are another common cause. It's often possible to make a more definitive diagnosis by sharing photos of the rash and talking to the doctor via virtual consult. ...Read more

My dad has had an itchy rash on his arms & legs for several months . He got a cortizone (hydrocortisone) shot, it cleared up & then came back. What could cause this he scratches till there are sores.
I get an itchy rash that alternates between my upper thigh for a week or two and months later I get the same rash over a tattoo on one breast.
Consider fungus: Without actually laying eyes on the rash and examining it properly, it's nearly impossible to tell for sure. But one thing that pops into my head is the possibility of a fungal infection. The places you are having the rash are places that are prone to chafing and/or lingering perspiration, which can be breeding grounds for a fungal infection. Go see your doctor for exam for proper treatment. ...Read more

Can hydrocortizone 1% cream be applied for fading of non-itchy rash on leg which is pityriasis rosea herald patch, on skin for almost 2 months,?
Doubtful: Hydrocortisone is helpful for itchy or inflamed rashes. We believe that pityriasis is caused by a virus and not inflammatory. I would expect a herald patch to be accompanied by others by now. You should consider that this might be another cause such as eczema or lupus. I would recommend an examination. ...Read more

I have a non itchy rash all over body, mainly arms and legs a little on my back and stomach, should I seek medical attention?
Drug Eruption: Drug eruptions can mimic a wide range of dermatoses. The morphologies are myriad and include morbilliform, urticarial, papulosquamous, pustular, and bullous. Medications can also cause pruritus and dysesthesia without an obvious eruption. A drug-induced reaction should be considered in any patient who is taking medications and who suddenly develops a symmetric cutaneous eruption. ...Read more

I have derm appt — but in mean time I have red bumpy ITCHY rash on part of lower right leg. It's now started on left. What could this be?!
Could be minor...: Dermatology is all about appearance. I am guessing it is an erythematous papule ("red bumpy"), which honestly could be an insect bite, or contact dermatitis, both of which are common. However, you mention pregnancy; there is a condition called PUPPP: Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy, which are terribly itchy red bumps! See what the dermatologist thinks! ...Read more
Red, flaky, itchy rash on both lower legs. I'm guessing it's eczma. Is there any effective home remedies?
A red itchy rash on the inner side of my leg near the groin area for over 1 month. It decreases when I take anti biotics. I want a permanent solution?
Erythrasma: I assume you used actual antibiotics and not antifungals. You could have Erythrasma which is a bacterial infection that just like fungus affects areas of moist skin. The rash may have well-defined borders and may become brownish. Topical and sometimes oral antibiotics are necessary. Keeping the area dry is the way to prevent this. Check that you are in good health for example no diabetes ...Read more
Need a picture: Rashes are tough to diagnose with just limited description. Often even with pictures and biopsies rashes can go undiagnosed. It is important to see the rash and get a thorough history including new contacts, foods and medications taken as well as pattern of spread to get an accurate diagnosis. I would get seen if this rash is spreading and causing discomfort. ...Read more
