Severe leg pain in right leg. Sometimes can not put weight on them. Calf is really sore. Pain goes up to thigh?

Having pain in back of legs tingly, cramping, ache, both the calf and thigh area, what can it be? Did not do anything to cause the pain i.E. Working out or heavy lifting. Uncomfortable sitting or standing.

It : It sounds like you may have a herniated disc in your lumbar spine pinching nerves. If you have weakness or bowel/bladder problems, you should be evaluated by a spine surgeon soon. The pain and numbness may resolve on their own, but some people require an operation to remove the disc fragment and decompress the nerves. ...Read more

Will genital herpes cause buttock ache/ back of leg ache even though rash is elsewhere? I.e penis

Will genital herpes cause buttock ache/ back of leg ache even though rash is elsewhere? I.e penis

Probably not, but...: This depends on the nature and timing of hte pain. If the buttoch/leg discomfort is at the same time as a genital herpes outbreak, or starts 1-2 days before, and if it clears up in another day or two. they may be linked. If you're talking about more chronic or persistent, ongoing pain, and not associated with herpes outbreaks, then almost certainly it's an entirely separate problem. ...Read more

Can a 2.5cm ovarian cyst cause bad groin pain and aching behind knee (same side). The ovary is painful and the groin/leg pain started at this time also?

Possibly: The ovarian 2.5 cm cyst is only one inch in diameter, but if it is sitting on a nerve that runs through your pelvis to your legs, you will get inguinal or radiating leg pain, depending on the nerve and its' distribution. Pose your question with the MD who diagnosed the cyst initially and if it is not a GYN MD then find one who is, that can examine you. ...Read more

I used a foam roller for my leg pain, it caused even more painful burning sensations from thigh to feet. Any thoughts ?

Pain: Perhaps instead of using a roller which causes friction and increases temperature further in your already inflammatory state, you use a cold pack. This will decrease blood flow and reduce the pain you are perceiving from inflammation. As your pain decreases after 24-48 hours, you can try applying heat and stretching to increase muscle flexibility. The roller might come in handy then. ...Read more

Where would endometriosis be if it were to cause back of thigh/leg pain (such as obturator/pudendal nerves) In need of some suggestions to ask my consultant about?

In the cul de sac: The endometriosis implants are likely located in the cul de sac of Douglas, a space in the pelvic cavity behind the end of the vagina. The implants are sitting on the peritoneal surface and immediately below that location are the nerve branches to the back with radiating leg involvement. Laparoscopy is needed to visualize that location. ...Read more
