Need more info: Doctors need to see you and take a fuller history than is permitted here. You could have nothing, or you could have asthma, chronic allergies, or any of dozen of very rare conditions. None of the symptoms you describe are specific for any of them. If you have seeen a doctor and not gotten the answers, its likely that this is just congestion in your upper airway that feels like its from the lung. ...Read more

Lying supine: This syndrome may actually be due to postnasal dripping of mucus or actual gastroesophageal reflux as you lie in a supine position during sleep. If you have normal breathing during exertion or exercise, it is quite unlikely that you have any disorder of the heart or lungs. Try sleeping with your head and chest in more of an upright position-that is, above your abdomen which helps reflux. ...Read more

Check bedroom: Hi emily. There may be something in the bedroom that is an allegan. That can include your bedding, a feaher pillow or feather or wool blanket. Since the cough has been going on for a month, i would check your heating system. You may need to replace the filter, or clean the humidefier if you are using a humidifer or vaporizer make sure you clean them. Hopefully, symptoms will improve. ...Read more
