What is the lump near my ear? I found it right in front of the lobe and it feels painful to touch, I found it 3 days ago. It's semi hard but moves

Sometimes over time and with massage the cyst will drain. If it's not red massage the area gently several times a day to see if that changes thing. As with any weird lump/bump a real exam by MD is usually the best way to get the right diagnosis. ...Read more

I have a lump behind the lobe on my left ear, it hurts and is not on the surface of the skin..What could this be?

Sebaceous cyst: Sebaceous cysts are benign. The body of the cyst is filled with dead skin cells and oil from the skin’s oil glands. They can be manipulated with the fingers and moved beneath the skin. Sebaceous cysts are painless unless they have become infected or are pressing on a nerve. They can occur anywhere on the body where sebaceous glands are present, including the earlobes where they are not uncommon. ...Read more

Small lump in ear lobe, ball like, next to pierced ear. hurts alittle bit when pressed? seems to in reds in size as well.

Piercing infection: Sounds like the piercing got infected. Remove the earring (you can re-pierce it later if the piercing closes up). If you can gently express any pus from the area through the piercing hole, that will help it heal. You can use a warm compress to help get the pus out and for comfort. If it doesn't clear up in a few days, or starts looking worse, you may need antibiotics. ...Read more
