Correlation?: It these two issues are related, it isn't readily apparent. It sounds as though one issue is trauma to the lip with eating. If this is a chronic problem - has it been assessed by denta/ oral surgeon? Standard flip flops provide little protection or padding to the soles of the feet. Have you considered footwear that offers more support and protection? ...Read more

RICE for now.: The immediate concern is slow down the rate of swelling. Use the RICE protocol. Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation. This should begin to stop the swelling and help with the pain. Rest your feet for at least a day and then re-evaluate. Some bruising is to expected from damaged tissue. A fracture can be determined by an x-ray. Further evaluation should be based on the status of your symptoms. ...Read more

See a Podiatrist: Unless we can see them is difficult to know what could be. One possibility is lipoma ( growth of fatty tissue). Other possibility neuroma ( a growth of a nerve). I cannot rule out fluid from congestive heart disease, or other conditions. My suggestion...Go to see a foot specialist (podiatrist). ...Read more

I am 28 and I am on my feet all day I noticed a lot of lumps on both shins and I am concerned i do not have insurance so i cant get it checked thanks?

You can watch a bit: The shins or tibia bones lie just under the skin, so any irregularity of the bone can be felt as a lump just under the skin. Minor trauma to the tibias may result in such bumps. But if they are tender to touch, you have other symptoms such as rash or joint pain, you should see your doctor--a condition called erythema nodosum needs to be considered. See doc, too, if any bump enlarging. Stay well:) ...Read more

I am not following: The correlation with the lump in the back and the foot pain...is the lump causing the foot pain or are they entirely different? The more info you give the better responses you will have. They can clearly be related....or completely Independent of each other. ...Read more
